Pastor Bianca Olthoff reminds us that we may not know the WHY, but we must trust the WHO. Allow him to divinely interrupt your daily plans for his greater plan!!! My sermon notes for H.O.T girl summer// Grit don't quit (Fun Month) week 3:
1.) You might have think that you have lost hope but the fact that you are making a effort each week or as often as you do is proof that you refuse to give up, that there is a shred in your soul that refuses to back down, where you are saying there is more in you. Your soul knows that if you're not dead, God is not done. God has a word for you, when you are in the midst of a storm and you make a decision to not quit but to hold on to faith, it determines the destiny of where you are headed in life. Keep your encouragement up and refuse to give up
2.) Focus on the Who instead of the Why. If you stay in the Why you are going to get bitter. When you focus on the WHO it's an act of surrender to God's will for your life and you will encounter him. What is your Why? Regardless, choose your Who.... put your faith, your frustrations in the hands of your good father. You may not know the WHY but you must trust the MIDST WHO, you will survive the storm that you are in. God will not leave you alone at sea. The storm you are in, you are not in it alone. Whatever you are in has to happen
3.) It will happen, pick your head up, and believe it is going to happen, get bold with your faith. There is a Malta waiting for you ( Malta means refuge). People will assign the Why, but they don't know the Who, shake off the haters, and stay on course, choose to trust the Who. You may not know why, but keep your focus on Jesus. You will make it, this has to happen
4.) Your adversity opens doors of opportunity, there is always a purpose and plan. Find purpose and resilience in the pain, choose your perspective. What you went through did not kill you and it will give others the confidence in WHO when they cannot see the WHY, stay and serve.
6.) Use your hands for healing. There is healing on the shore, it has to happen because you don't know what you are continuing to push on will demonstrate to others and what doors of opportunities, salvation and freedom will come through
7.) The grit that don't quit is the grace you can't waste. God is good regardless whether you understand your present suffering or storms. You don't need to understand to be healed you can trust the Who
