    Nate!!! Jerm!!! Your work over the past couple of seasons with the commentary for Jomez Productions has come a long way! It is refreshing to listen to your complimentary nature and the encouragements you put out there to support not only the disc golf activity, but the support for your fellow competitors!! It is clearly obvious, by your words, the disc golf community is a very positive and supporting activity among the players. You two guys make disc golf sound enjoyable. The double duty perspective of competing in the tournament and then describing it to those of us who love to watch must be daunting. You two guys handle this task with great poise and grace!!! Thank you so much for your good nature sense of humor at this work. This certainly helps to lift Jomez Productions on these tournaments to a higher level of quality and professionalism. If I may offer a critical perspective......some of the commentary, although very complimentary of your fellow competitors (and rightly so), gets rather lengthy (much like this comment I am writing to you). Perhaps practice a shorter spoken phrase. May I suggest thinking in terms of "call the moment' rather than "describe the moment"....kind of like baseball. I'd like to encourage the hints of sarcasm and the "insider" perspective of the competitive moments during the contest!! Also, it would be SO COOL to hear more about the perspective of the situational mind game that goes on in the contest. I think you guys are fantastic and very much enjoy watching you play!! Thanks for reading this if you stuck with me this far. Looking forward to seeing you guys out there on the course.

    One cool bonus thing to add into the graphics on each hole would be a small picture of the teesign so that it would be more easy to see the path/way to the basket. It would fit perfectly next to the distance numbers in the bottom right. But still an awesome coverage as always and keep it the same way!!

    I want to hear more about Birdie Fest! What kind of acts are playing? Will The Velvet Underpar make an appearance? I really want to see Alice In Chainstars and Linkin Parked. Someone told me the headliner was either Duece Leppard or the Red Hot Birdie Poppers? The Smashing Chain-ins were off the hook last time I saw them!
    Thank you for all that you do. Truly a pleasure to tune in.

    This event alone (not to mention this card/round) solidifies why disc golf is the best sport EVER. It’s so much fun, but oh so much harder than it looks. Some days you can’t find the lines, but other days you park miraculous “no way it’s gonna hit shots”. Even the pros nice out on the wood sometimes, and that gives an amateur like me hope that I can finish a round under par. Thanks for being awesome, love what you guys do!!!

    Fun fact about Frisbee discs.
    The inventor of the Frisbee, Walter Frederick Morrison (January 23rd, 1920) died in 2010 and at his own request, Morrison was cremated and his ashes moulded into frisbees for his family.
    Do you think Nate Sexton would consider being moulded into a Firebird when his time comes?

    [spoilers in the "read more" bits]
    To be constructive: could we revisit the practice of posting of really good shots before/at the same time of the rounds? With Eagle's throw in last week, I spent the whole round waiting for a good shot from him. This time around, I had a couple tense moments ruined because I knew a clip hadn't been posted from the round. This was primarily the almost-albatross from Paul, but also the last hole potential "drama". Maybe hold off on the clips until one or two days after the round for those of us who subscribe and see all of the videos that get posted. Not sure if that would offset the views for something like that right after it happens, but I would appreciate it.

    • @ptellier
      @ptellier 6 лет назад

      who is posting these clips? on what website? I haven't seen any spoilers for this round yet.

    • @stevenatkins5877
      @stevenatkins5877 6 лет назад

      I didn't see a spoiler. No idea the tap in eagle was coming. But agree that highlights should follow the full round coverage.

    • @shanemackay493
      @shanemackay493 6 лет назад

      Eagle's skip throw-in from GBO was posted last week, before the round in which it was thrown, under the title "Spoiler Round 2: Eagle McMahon [is good at disc golf]" or something along those lines. They have since edited the title, but I watched that whole round knowing something was coming. Since they didn't post anything for this round, I knew in the back of my head that Eagle wouldn't throw-in for albatross or that no one would cause an upset with an ace, though the second one is a bit more broad.

    • @shanemackay493
      @shanemackay493 6 лет назад

      The tap-in eagle was great, but since there was no clip, I sort of knew that his albatross run wasn't going in. It's a little nit-picky, I know, but I'm trying to be constructive. I'm still gonna watch every round they post =)

    C'mon Big Sexy, Birdiefest is so mainstream. I mean I get it, its fun to camp out in a field with tens of thousands of people, and all the bands your girlfriend wants to see are probably there. But these days its so overpriced, the line for the bathroom is a mile long, and as you look around at the kids on spring break wearing nothing but paint and colorful sunglasses you suddenly feel like an old man. You want those deep, hardcore, underground jams don't you? Eaglefest is where its at.

  • @KylerPatterson

    @ryanweaver8697 6 лет назад

    Nate, I followed your card for the back 8 of round 1 and you were pretty vocal about how upset you were over the conditions y’all were playing in. Yet, even in the horrible conditions, you still said something encouraging to every cardmate on at least one of their shots each hole. That truly showed your character, that you don’t make it all about you, even on your birthday. So I just wanted to say thank you for setting a good example for others.

    The most impressive thing to me is the way you guys put your own egos and game aside for the better of the commentary, and for the better of the sport and for professionalism in general. It’d be hard for me to be so positive and uprooting for other guys shots and outcomes if I had a below average and lack luster tournament or day myself. If I blew those putts and had the couple unfortunate breaks sexy nate caught then I would’ve already checked out. You guys are just true professionals. In a few years we will look back and your commentary and exuberance for the game is only going to grow this sport more and more. Props fellas #letsmakediscgolfanolympicsport

    I enjoyed this so much! Would have loved to see Nate have a banner day as well, but another day. Thanks to everyone who contributed, however small! Takes a lot to put a tournament like this on. Keep growing the sport and catching chains!

    Paul's got his groove back: keeping it fun.....and winning!
    (I want to see Ricky up on stage playing lead guitar
    -then Simon doing a crazy over the top drum solo)
    Thank you to Jomez and the Nates for bringing us this riveting coverage.

    Well here’s my shot.. I’m new to the game, but I’ve been playing everyday since I fell in love with this game. Been going strong for almost a year. Playing in my first tournament, Mutt Putt in Austin, TX on May, 26th 2018. A Big Sexy Destroyer might give me the edge! Thanks for everything you guys do.

    What I love about Big Sexy is you guys have gotten so comfortable with doing commentary together that half the reason I watch Jomez is to listen to the commentary. The ongoing tree joke is hilarious and I've been trying to keep it going but no one knows that I know that I don't know what I'm talking about. Love you guys!

    I’m so glad McBeth finally won something this year. His dedication to the game is outstanding and he’s always out there hunting no matter how many strokes behind he is.

    Another great job by Jonathan and his crew! The only thing I yearn for is a pop up box with the disc thrown. Not every time, but especially on Follow Flights and maybe when they putt.
