      Sure. But you'll find the cost of shootin' it pricy @ $400 per round of HE comp B. $60,000 per round for excalibur.

      Long answer: Yes.
      Short answer: No, because xyz and you need zyx and yxz before you can do x and then y and you must have a lot of $$$$$$ for the tax and the cost of the above licenses.
      Should you be able to just go to your local gun store or gun show and buy one?
      Yes.

    Its more or less like the old cannon firing expect for that the techniques are modern and the firing is much more devastative.

      After loading the projectile, is it because that the projectile is squeezed into the rifling that prevents it from falling off the chamber?

    Кто нибудь ответьте, это какой то устаревший вид орудия? просто на нем много лишнего, вон посмотрите на Русские орудия, куда более компактные и легче в весе, при таких же показателях по огневой мощи.

    This is proably the best towed howitzer in the world. Soon the m777 ER upgrade will increase the range to even farther distance.

    • @DuncanMcCreadie-bw5hv
      @DuncanMcCreadie-bw5hv Месяц назад +1

      How do you figure that? Artillery has been around for over a 1,000-years and as such distances and payloads have increased accordingly. In WWII the Germans were capable of firing across the English Channel but with limited success because they had little to no idea what impact they had which is why they mounted the ordnance on a train to avoid the RAF. Likewise they also lost thousands of artillery pieces left abandoned in their retreat from the Eastern Front. In short they have little effect while an army is in retreat or entrenched as in WWI.

    • @shadowwolf7622
      @shadowwolf7622 6 лет назад

      PrITH viE I fired a 105 howitzer for four years. I didn't wear earplugs so I could hear the radio and my Sgt. We were told to wear them but in reality it was up to me if I wanted to or not. My youngest son is in Ft Sill, OK right now training to be on one of these guns right now.
