    I've got an ecoboost Escape titanium and it had a bad gasket on cylinder 3 that caused coolant in the cylinder and scored cylinder wall. So had a new short block installed. That block was a bad block and developed a hairline fracture on the cylinder 3. Had to get another new short block. Then somehow a connecting rod was damaged during those two rebuilds and caused more damage and ended up a getting a whole new long block lol. Thankful for warranties...

      what do you mean? i live pretty far from this guy and you can expect to pay around 10k for a good mileage late model vehicle (2013-up), these escapes are solid if taken care of and this engine has 0 miles. a decent deal for the average buyer, i also think this guy does in house financing for some of these cars so naturally prices are a bit higher with that too.

    • @mph5896
      @mph5896 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@aydenjames-dj2gu Why do you think he put a new 0 mileage engine in that Escape? That is a $6k engine from Ford, just for the engine. Not including labor. I'll bet money on it he put a used salvage yard engine in that Escape with about the same mileage. I am very familiar with those Escapes. They are NOT solid, and are VERY expensive to fix. When (I didn't say "if") the trans goes out, that is a $5-6k repair.

    The problem is it's a Ford. FORD stands for "Found On Road Dead" and "Fix Or Repair Daily"

    What year Camry? The transmission issues were an early on problem that got fixed by late 2019. After 2019 they pretty much had the transmissions problem free. The main issue with them is the learning computer you might have the computer memory wiped and find the transmission is still good. I would check it to be sure unless its slipping. Our 2020 Camry has been rock solid, but I always service my vehicles well and service the transmissions every 45k miles for regular automatics. Check with Toyota to make sure they did not have an extended warranty on it too the early 2017-2018 models had some issues. You will sell that baby Fast! I can't stand Ford I owned a Fusion which was basically the same as the Escape. Last Ford I buy I stick with GM and Toyota. Through the years I have owned both and had the best luck ever with both brands. I am still driving my 2003 GMC Sierra with over 200k miles problem free. I would be leary buying a GM truck now though. I have heard Active Fuel Management has claimed a lot of engines. I guess I could buy one and have that deleted to save the engine though:P One last thing Ford extended the warranties on the Escapes over the block failure issues might check with them to see if its covered:P

    Had a 2018 Escape. Sold it 2 years ago now. Was the worst vehicle I’ve ever owned and would never own another Ford cause it. Sticking with Honda or Toyota for life. In 80k miles I went through 2 engines, 1 trans and after I sold it the trans was changed again in less then 15k, and has been in the shop continuously since
