It’s probably because less people working on a soundtrack means a less jumbled mess, as the more people who work on it the more ideas are thrown into it that just don’t mix.
Generally indie games like this are someone's passion project, and what they lack in massive funding, they more than make up for in heart and soul being poured into it. The creators either find a talented musician to make their score and give them every detail to suceed, or they learn how to make music/improve the musical talent they already had in order to bring the game's soundtrack to life. @@Jacket_50_Blessings FWIW I think Zero is being told these things, not saying them. I believe this passage is Zero's memory of Fifteen talking to him about the Cromag War.
My friend passed away in October of this year. This song really gets me in my feelings every time I listen to it. This was one of the games on the gamepass he wanted me to play a couple of months before he passed. I miss my homie I wish I had been there for him I wish I could’ve seen him at least once more. I still remember the day after my other friend came into my house and told me he’s was gone I thought he was joking but he’d been hit by a car and didn’t even make it to the hospital. He died alone in the street I wish I had known I wish I could’ve been there I wish I could’ve pushed him to wear his helmet on his moped more. Every now and then I come to this song and have a good cry for him. I know he’s probably looking down on me asking why I cry so much but it’s because I miss him so much not a single day has been normal and not a day goes by where I don’t think about him.
You're comment really touched me friend, I hope you find peace one day. Its not easy losing anyone but all we can do is live for the memories we shared with them! Stay strong friend.

…I was about to like this comment when I realized that it had already been given a like by me.. But this is the first time I see your comment… I was brought here after watching the snail and human saga on a meme page- where someone commented the name of this song.
Dude that meme is what got me into this game. I was looking at that and I was liked the song which led me to discovering katana zero. It's now one of my favorite games.
“In the end there is only death. But death will bring you peace, Zero. The men who caused this are dead. The world will forget our names, but we did something good. We died good. It was an honor, my friend. See you on the other side. Farewell...”. -Fifteen
The universe has limitations. This song makes me aware of that. I don’t know how or why, but this song makes me remember that, and think: If we can’t physically reach beyond a certain point in the universe with our technology, and the universe is rapidly expanding, doesn’t that mean that eventually, all the planets in space will get too far away from each other to be able to explore? Well just be left alone in the endless vacuum, with no exit. No way out. Complete isolation in our solar system. But hey, I’m just a guy on the internet
I be thinking about this too. I think this track also speaks to my curiosity as well. We can't help but think of the unknown. There has to be a light at the end of the tunnel. As a species, I feel like we shouldn't give up on the pursuit of interstellar space travel
It's been about a month since I found and finished Katana Zero. This part of the game always stood out to me. It gave me a depth that can only be felt with pure emotion. It's telling, sad, tragic, and beautiful. The song invokes tranquility, yet it's very somber, like a sad memory trapped in time.
This game is masterpiece this soundtrack and the scene that zero is talking about when the drugs run out always make me cry i dont know why but i always feel something need to be changed in my life after i listen to this song its like thinking about better tomorrow something that make you forget about past and do something you can proud of I can’t describe it in words but the only thing i can say is that this is a whole masterpiece 10/10

I first started katana zero about a year ago during college, i played about half of it but dropped it because i wasnt too interested, i went back a few weeks ago and finished it, i then told my roommate to play it too and he did. Best decisions we’ve ever made. This game is absolutely stunning, the art, music, gameplay, story, everything. I love this game so much and im happy to say that its going to be put into a group with all the other pixel games that dont get enough recognition like Hyper Light Drifter and The Final Station. Thank you for this video.
And thank you for introducing me to The Final Station. Hyper Light Drifter is my absolute favorite indie game, so if it holds up to that, I'm already sold
There was a moment when I lost my girlfriend. We had one extremely bad moment and I felt... Empty. Once she said that I need to go through this game and the only thing left for me to feel that connection again was to play this game. I will never forget the emotions, that unique story, that filled me with hope. Hope that once everything will be fine again and I need to keep going no matter what happens. And this track is a reminder. Reminder of hope, that I should never lose. And everytime when something bad happens - this is the OST of comeback to hope.
Yeah, but this specific part only plays like 3 minutes after starting in the original mix. So I extended the in-game version cause I like that part on specific.
It's eerie how a song I just found 5 minutes ago is able to fill me with such a feeling of nostalgia. I know there's something missing, something I'm yearning to get back, and I'm in tears because I don't know what it is.
It is truly beautiful how this moment, the view, the cold breeze of the city night would not be this stunning, without zero and the girl sharing it with each other. It is such a cliché, the cold and grumpy warrior softened up by a small child, but dang is it a good cliché.
This song single handedly made me want to buy Katana Zero. I'm going to buy a physical copy of the game when they come available. This played in the LRG trailer and I was instantly drawn into the game. It touched a part of my soul a game hadn't in a very very long time. It drew out all of the nostalgia of a vaporwave track, but there was something else there. Haunting, it left me transformed. I can't believe it is hitting other people like this too. I fall asleep to it some nights and dream of darkness invaded by neon light and blood soaked cyber cityscapes we were promised but will never see.
There is a beauty and simplicity to thie piece, but the synths and progression make me feel these wonderfully melancholy, bittersweet feelings. Listen while showering for heavy effect. Thank you for posting this.
Me and the snail floating in space staring at the last star's light fading and me finally asking him to touch me (He confides in me as to whether or not we'll see each other again, and I remain silent, for even with all of my endless knowledge and wisdom gained after countless eons, I still do not know what resides after death)
I'm back again. I know I am still alive, even though I'm falling apart. I still struggle and try to put myself back together, I don't know if there will be an end. I still have to move forward...maybe... Hoping that all those who encounter difficulties can find the light. 2024/11/29 TW:23:08
@@kumys2642 there is a meme featuring the option of becoming immortal, but an immortal snail that, if it touches you, ends your own immortality and you both die. This was started as a fun brain teaser but became something more existential. This song plays in one meme based around that premise where the man and the snail meet watching the final star burn out, and decide finally to die on purpose, together, while the man admits that he still does not know what happens after death.
Humanity has perished. Life as I know it has ceased, and the universe is coming to an end. Only the snail and I remain, floating in space at the end of time watching as the sun's final rays of light begin to fade away, and I finally ask, with tears in my eyes, for the snail to touch me. He confides in me as we may never see each other again, and I nod gravely, for even with my endless knowledge and power, I still do not know what is beyond life.
A seemingly commonly underrated or overlooked song from the soundtrack, a shame. S'pose the same could be said 'bout the game itself, heh. Sad. This song gets me so emotional every time I listen to it. Fell asleep listening to this while drinking last night, a lot of emotions were involved haha! I got no future, and in a way, I seek none. In the grand-scheme o' things I've done nothing. Even for all the people I've hurt, the people I've let down, and for the folks who hate me; I am still here. Why? The only joy I find in life is from music & video-games, they make me forget reality, or they help me understand it further. I have no gods to pray to, but I still pray that some day things will change. I pray for a life worth living without this modern-day 24/7 bullshit. I'm stuck with two part-time jobs I do not care for, I have no clue what to do anymore, I don't seek to foster a child, I'm demi-gay thus relationships are difficult to even take effect. I have no goals in life. I just want to die and have it all be over, but I just haven't done it yet. I'm not sure when I will. I don't want to hurt anybody further by doing so.
7/2/22 I return once more. I left one of my part-time jobs, it has helped a little. The boss was extremely butthurt over it, but it is what it is. Also, I recently just entered a new relationship. It makes me so happy! I'm still pathetic, but I'm just a little more happy for now. :)
whatever has happened is history. maybe things are worse than they used to be, but all we can do is accept the present. no matter what's in store for us, i think it's important that we see it through til the end.
One is all and all is one so if this is, then you are me and I am you. This only applies to people who follow their heart but take their mind with them.

When i listen this i feel like im a chronos adicted guy who lives the same moment over and over again
Amazing
What's up blue room gang. We know what's up.
There is a beauty and simplicity to thie piece, but the synths and progression make me feel these wonderfully melancholy, bittersweet feelings. Listen while showering for heavy effect. Thank you for posting this.
tear has been shed... so much feels in such simple melody
I came from one of those snail memes. Glad I discovered this gem
Same here.
What snail memes
Me and the snail floating in space staring at the last star's light fading and me finally asking him to touch me (He confides in me as to whether or not we'll see each other again, and I remain silent, for even with all of my endless knowledge and wisdom gained after countless eons, I still do not know what resides after death)
It's incredible just how soothing this song is.
sounds like Miami just got nuked, if you know what I mean.
leaving this world aint as scary as it sounds friend
You are... the blood... flowing through my fingers...
katana zero is a masterpiece and im sad its so short i just love this game so much
This and Risk of Rain are always gonna be my favorite soundtracks man. Just amazing.
Every time I lose my way in my life, I come to listen to this soundtrack.
And then try to struggle until the moment my life stops.
I'm back again. I know I am still alive, even though I'm falling apart.
I still struggle and try to put myself back together, I don't know if there will be an end. I still have to move forward...maybe...
Hoping that all those who encounter difficulties can find the light.

Thanks for sharing your feelings. I sincerely wish you all the best and peace, man...
@@jcong000 Thanks. you too...
Can’t wait for the dlc
this song actually gives me goosebumps 🥶
This moment in the game hit so fucking hard man.
This is my Favourite song
Please, Enjoy!
me too
Show me the end, eternal snail.
The Snail meme brought me here too.
@@Real_Iron_Smith what a snail meme?
@@kumys2642 there is a meme featuring the option of becoming immortal, but an immortal snail that, if it touches you, ends your own immortality and you both die. This was started as a fun brain teaser but became something more existential. This song plays in one meme based around that premise where the man and the snail meet watching the final star burn out, and decide finally to die on purpose, together, while the man admits that he still does not know what happens after death.
@@Real_Iron_Smith i arleady found it, but thanks anyway!
Video link?
I have this on my alarm clock. It's beautiful. It's making me calm entire day.
A Corecore video brought me here. Good stuff
I always use this when starting my stream, its a good mood setter and gets all my viewers chilled.
this song is so beautiful, I just can't explain how I feel when I hear this song. katana zero is a such a masterpiece.
a week of pain feels like a year
a year of happiness feels like a week
Very good loop, it's just a pity that we have to wait 21 minutes to listen to the magnificent ending
Remember guys we will all get out the jungle one day stay strong
I'll wait as long as I have to for the DLC and to see the story conclude
7/2/22
I return once more. I left one of my part-time jobs, it has helped a little. The boss was extremely butthurt over it, but it is what it is.
Also, I recently just entered a new relationship. It makes me so happy!
I'm still pathetic, but I'm just a little more happy for now. :)
@@rawmaw Me and you may not know eachother, but I'm happy for you! May your life continue to get better!

feels good to feel
I would love to see a mashup of this and panoramic feelings
what a masterpiece
It's not ptsd , it's the *drug*
whatever has happened is history. maybe things are worse than they used to be, but all we can do is accept the present. no matter what's in store for us, i think it's important that we see it through til the end.
This song feels like floating in space after you have just watched all you care for be destroyed.
thank you for this
