Hi Jocelyn just wanted to let you know I love watching your Channel the crazy lamp lady I bought a bowl the other day from Goodwill for $5 got it home and found out it was made by Lalique France it has the Frosted birds around the top and clear glass on the bottom
When I collected dolls years ago I was told that kokeshi dolls were specific to different places in Japan and when people traveled to the different places they would buy the local kokeshi dolls like a souvenir of places they visited. Many have the names of the cities or places in Japanese usually on the doll. Sorta like their version of our postcards.
There are several types of KOKESHI Dolls. Some are from Hot Springs & Tourist places but many are not. Some were very old toys made of wood. Others represent the Seasons. I have some that are nesting miniatures. But they are not all from tourist spots. It's fairly easy to spot the tourist ones. They will be in hot springs/ tubs or have grapes or fruit etc.
Sitting here watching this and then getting the email that our schools are going remote for two weeks. This is helping my anxiety level not to go through the roof,
Omgoodness...my Dad had one of those big brass stand ashtrays(that was $150) almost exactly like that one. It was back in the mid- late 70's- early 80's. Brings back fond memories from my childhood😊😊😊 oh & I would not have hesitated on that original Hager Eve Vase...I 💗LOVE💗 THAT GLAZE!!!
That pedestal ashtray that Michael spotted, on a thrifting video yesterday, a lady bought one very similar for $1.00!!!! at a yard sale. Those glass pieces were amazing.
I hope you went down to the basement this time! I remember seeing those Holt Howard mustard pots in the case. I'd never seen them irl and was surprised at how large they actually are! I got a little Holt Howard Santa candle hugger last week. I learned afterwards that it's part of a set, thus maybe it really was worth only $5--that's what I paid. But it is so cute, the smug expression on Santa's face cracks me up.
OMG! When I was a kid, we had a set of the little angels in chenille holding 2 candles that hung on our Christmas tree every year. I hadn't thought of them in such a long time. Gosh, such a rush of memories!
I liked the shell creamer as well. I liked going along with you today. I found an Amish antique/consignment store. It was fun looking 👀 around, but I only had a few minutes 🕑
I started watching you last 2 weeks ago and it kinda satisfy my eyes seeing antiques and glass Murano, I kinda dream to be collector. I also love your voice :) Keep it up! I'm watching from Philippines
I almost lost it when Michael walked over w/the Van Briggle lamp! Mostly b/c I don’t have my glasses on & I thought the tag said $35.00🤦🏼♀️😂, lol! I feel like prices have gone up since your last trip there. Either that, or the new things added were items you don’t purchase 🤷🏼♀️. I’m hoping you hit the jackpot in tomorrow’s video! (And you find Michael, lol 🤣)! Sending everyone hugs, love & prayers for everyone to stay healthy🤗💜🙏🏻😷🦚
That little shell creamer for $2 was lovely. Surely at such a low price you could have made a profit even with the chip. If it didn't sell, it only cost $2 to begin with & it could be repurposed like Sue does. Jeffery sells some things like that at a live auction & seems to get a fair profit on them, maybe that could work too.
Bummer! I was at Roller Mills two Sundays ago ! I found some treasures in the basement and a few on the main floor. It would have been great to see you and Michael there!
The van briggle shade is original & designed by van briggle!! The shades are quite uncommon! There are always butterflies on them. *the bird flower frog by the kokeshi dolls is Czech pottery!
I spent some time looking in the booth with the Asian items when I was there. That's the one where Andrew picked up...something and came around the corner and showed it to you. And then you said, Do you remember where you got that? I think it was an urn of some kind and it is still on the shelf. At 12:43 you can see it behind the red fondue pot.
16:40 I can fix that so you would never know. I know why you left it, but if I had been there I would have picked that up for $2 right when you set it down. :)
If you go back there, right next to the Adderbury covered milkglass dish was a box of Moss Rose dishes. It looked like 6 egg cups. I have collected Moss Rose since 1970. It started with a gorgeous candy dish my Grandmother gave my mother in the 1950's or 60's. I have never seen egg cups in Moss Rose. I don't worry if it is original to the run made between the world wars or if it is part of one of the many later runs made by various companies in various countries. I just don't get the really poor copies of it. I like the ones true to the original flower/bud design like the 6 cups in that box. If you do get back there I would be interested in those cups. Thanks! I'll pay attention to if you get back to this message.
The autocorrect caught you...Its grauple. Water drops flash freeze onto falling snow flakes to form little "dippin dots" sleet-like pellets. When they're wind-driven, they're painful! When we get them here in Dayton, it usually means you don't want to be headed for Cincinnati!
When you were looking at the Va Briggle lamp you turned back to the case and saw a bowl and said”Look it is a “Siddonsicker”? I have that bowl in a turquoise and blue. Did I hear that right?
You should bring Jeffrey to this shop. Figurene heaven! I love Kocachi to. Iff I had a lot off money woow I would spens it there! Furniture, glassware, pottery....
My family thinks I have weird taste in things. They like modern with everything that matches in a house. I like a house that looks like thing were acquired through the years and homey. Maybe we are just old souls !!!!
The green vase u picked up and said it is nice but not at that price I've got one simular but with a stand and lid would you be able to remember the price please and could you tell me a bit about it please as I've hunted high and low but not seen another one like it mine is in mint condition aswell
That is actually called grapple. Almost the same as sleet (sleet has a beat) grapple is a bit lighter i think that is how that goes. Grapple is my favorite because it's not common & come on its called grapple!
Hi Jocelyn just wanted to let you know I love watching your Channel the crazy lamp lady I bought a bowl the other day from Goodwill for $5 got it home and found out it was made by Lalique France it has the Frosted birds around the top and clear glass on the bottom
"I don;t collect pottery" says the woman that knows all about Haegar and loves it! And owns several pieces.

The shell creamer was incredibly beautiful. The chip was so low for 2$ I'd take it and repurpose.
I agree.
Yes I've never seen one.!! Beautiful.
Sitting here watching this and then getting the email that our schools are going remote for two weeks. This is helping my anxiety level not to go through the roof,
They are thinking of doing that in Iowa too.
I'm dying over you showing off the dinisaur BONG! 😂🤣😂
Bubbler ;)
Me too! Eeeheee!
Thank you! I couldn't figure out what is was.
That pedestal ashtray that Michael spotted, on a thrifting video yesterday, a lady bought one very similar for $1.00!!!! at a yard sale. Those glass pieces were amazing.
It only takes one piece of pottery to get addicted 💙
The shell creamer was Royal Bayreuth. Keep an eye out for those! The figural ones especially do very well!
So beautiful. I would have bought it for 2 bucks, but then I’m not a reseller.

A lovely jar for keeping your lions in!

That Van Briggle lamp was amazing. George talked about Van Briggle lamps and shades on his last video.
OMG!!! THE SNAIL AND THE TEAPOT ART GLASS paperweights ARE SOOOO COOL!!!!
Oh, how fun! Michael's little prixie! The rooster glass set is fun, also!
Nay Nay!!!..... Making my thin Florida skin shiver; not in antici..... pation but possible accumulation!! 🌧️❄️🥶🥶
That hanger vase is AWESOME!!!
The look on the face of the paper Santa head decoration at 15:25! Misty needs that one! 😳
I started watching you last 2 weeks ago and it kinda satisfy my eyes seeing antiques and glass Murano, I kinda dream to be collector. I also love your voice :) Keep it up! I'm watching from Philippines
6:50 The glass teapot is still there! I love that sooooo much.

I live about 10 minutes from Van Briggle. So sad when they stopped creating in 2012.
Hi Jocelyn! You should come down to Boonsboro Antiques and Collectibles in Boonsboro MD next time your heading down 81! Lots to see and find!!
I have those glasses with silver leaves but no caddy or ice bucket now I know what I’m looking for to finish set! Thank you

I agree with you about the Murano dog. I actually own it, i’ve had it since my childhood and I still love it!
The shell creamer is so unique! Love it!😍
I’m loving the wood floor!
I love the glass candle holder with the balls around it.
The “drunk” Santa looks like the one on Clark Griswold’s Christmas tree in the Christmas Vacation movie. 🎅
I want to see that Beatles print in the back room!!!
Seems like places start upping their prices after resellers start coming in regularly
Maybe they are watching the resellers on youtube.
Keep in mind that these places have individual vendors, so they're resellers too.
Kokeshi doll on the platform is modern. Bobble head ones are way more sought after. I want them!!!
The van briggle shade is original & designed by van briggle!! The shades are quite uncommon! There are always butterflies on them.
*the bird flower frog by the kokeshi dolls is Czech pottery!
Says Hakone on the kokeshi dolls. Probably from the Hakone region/ reference to their mountains in Japan. Really cute!
I really like the glass pineapple and the Van Briggle vase!

I love watching your videos!
That brass toad in the display case was wicked! I need it!
You can tell those christmas trees are back in style I seen some at Michael's the other day for like $30
Love the hail and your response--and love the new hair!!
When do we get to see your booth
A cliff hanger, I love it!!
Good. You're back. Had been a bit concerned we hadn't seen you.
Omg the chickens!
@2:35 That is a beautiful piece. What a find!
Stunnning glasspieces there😍😍😍
Great find!!
I really liked that striped lamp

Oh my God I would have bought that shell 🐚 pitcher in a heartbeat, damage or no damage!
You are so rich with very fun friends
Happy Friday!
Lets do this!
The butterfly shade is original to the Van Briggle lamp. Not supposed to be crushed though. 😄
What's falling from the sky is called Graupel!
The Hager Eve is gorgeous!
Your hair looks lovely here!
Looks like sleet ⛄❄
Love the cliffhanger 🤣🤣🤣
It’s called grapple. We get it in NE Ohio as well.
Howdy neighbor👋😆
@@donna6368 🖖🏻😊

When you were looking at the Va Briggle lamp you turned back to the case and saw a bowl and said”Look it is a “Siddonsicker”? I have that bowl in a turquoise and blue. Did I hear that right?
The Mary Gregory looked like a dancing zombie from Thriller.
I agree. Mary Gregory herself became famous for her cherubs. So they are most reminiscent of her style.
Please keep your eyes out for the orange Japan tea set pieces. I will buy them!
You should bring Jeffrey to this shop. Figurene heaven!
I love Kocachi to.
Iff I had a lot off money woow I would spens it there!
Furniture, glassware, pottery....
Why are they calling M.G.? I think milk glass is as far as they got! I thought atterbury at 1st too
That Ronald McDonald stuff toy should be worth money if it’s a 70’s I believe.
Pretty sure the shell pitcher is Royal Bayreuth
My family thinks I have weird taste in things. They like modern with everything that matches in a house. I like a house that looks like thing were acquired through the years and homey. Maybe we are just old souls !!!!
They don't know what what is!?!? 😅😆😅 I thought you found something incredible for really cheap. Did I miss it?
The Haeger Eve vase. They didn’t know what it was. ☺️
Ohhhhh! I get it now! 😊
I LOVE your haircut. How about a hairdresser segment?
❤That pineapple❤
I have a Van Briggle piece in the same glaze as that lamp. I ❤❤❤ the glaze. Not a fan of that shade, however...
m.g. = milk glass
Don't you love it when you find back rooms, you never knew about before?
I adore the Blenko I bought from you so grab any Blenko pieces for me please! I'm trying to gather a collection. Thx.😘
It's little sleet balls we got it that day also.
