I’ve been struggling so much this Christmas and have been so down, but seeing how excited Fox was and Kurt’s reaction made me excited for future Christmases when I’m a mom. I’m 21 so I’m in that weird stage between being a kid and an adult so everything feels off, but I can’t wait to surprise my kids and my partner with everything they could ever dream of someday. Random tip for the onion! I wet a kitchen sponge and have it slightly damp on the chopping board whilst I’m cutting the onion, works like a dream! Merry Xmas to you and your family Sezzy ❤️
Also if you drink water and hold it in your mouth while you're chopping, it also works! The water must soak it up or something?

For the onions, try putting a glass of water next to the cutting board! The chemical that’s released is attracted to moisture (or something like that) and that’s why it goes to our eyes. So putting water next to the board helps :)

We have a Malibu!! You won’t regret it! It has provided our family years of fun and memories! Dad’s a waterski coach and truly there is nothing more fun than teaching people to ski and board! I hope you guys love it!
Oo and speaking of having newborns on the boat - totally doable! Mum raised 4 babies on the water ahahah and we all turned out fine. Dad had us on training skis at 18 months and truly there’s no better place! Highly recommend getting on and off the water real early! Enjoy the water before the sun burns everyone to a crisp and avoid all the unlicensed and unsafe people on the water! Plus early morning = untouched flat water which is the best!

i have super sensitive eyes as well. i start chewing on a piece of peppermint gum before chopping up onions and it works like a charm! absolutely no watering!

🧅🧅 Sarah!! My eyes are so sensitive to onions as well… the ONLY THING that works for me is if you put a small bowl of water right next to the onions your cutting and supposedly the onion fumes go to the water instead of into your eyes… see if that helps!

Random onion cutting tip: make sure your knife is wet before you start to cut! And when you feel after a bit that your eyes are starting to sting, you just wet the knife again, and continue :)

Have you tried putting a container of water in front of the onion? I have heard that the vapors are attracted to the closest source of water (usually your eyes), so the water helps...I have seen an improvement when I do that, and I also have sensitive eyes.
For the onions, cut them in half and let them sit in water while you cut all the other ingredients and dice them. Works for me!

Okay this is my second comment but now I am crying at Kurt’s reaction to getting the boat - so so sweet!!!
With the onions, the fumes from the onion is attracted to moisture and usually the closest moist thing is your eyes and tear ducts, therefore we cry. So if you put a pretty wet cloth on the cutting board the fumes from the onions should go to the wet cloth instead of your eyes. Have tried a few times and it definitely helps about 90-95% of the time.
This is the reaction every Wife wants from the gifts they give their husband lol congratulations a merry Christmas!

When cutting onions put a wet (drenched) paper towel right in front of where you’re cutting the onion and the juices will go into the paper towel instead of your eyes. The reason why it normally goes straight into your eyes is because that is the closest moisture to it. Thank me later Sezzy 😉 💕
Put a teaspoon in your mouth (upside down so the bottom of the teaspoon is being pushed against the roof of your mouth) when cutting onions. Works for me every time :)
When chopping onions I keep a sip of water in my mouth and I swear it works so well!! I’ve also heard u can keep a glass of water right by you and it does the same thing?

Best onion cutting hack is putting a super wet paper towel on the chopping board when you're cutting. The chemicals go towards that water source instead of your eyes. Life changer!

Put a wet paper towel on the cutting board while you chop onions. Onion fumes like moisture and the closest is your tear ducts so if you add the paper towel that moisture takes the sting away.
The only trick for onions : put your knife and board under water before cutting the onion AND most important, have a BIG waterlogged but keep the water in your mouth while cutting the onion. Works like magic !
Peel and chop the onion in half and then run it under the tap for a second. The liquid in the onion wants to find the nearest liquid to attach to which is usually your moist eyes.

Try putting a wet rag near the cutting board! The vapor from the onion is attracted to moisture so by setting a wet rag nearby it will absorb the vapor instead of your eyeballs! Heard it from tiktok and it actually works!

SEZZY!!! For onions, put a wet paper towel on your cutting board! The the chemical in the onion that makes your eyes water is attracted to water molecules, so the towel helps absorb that before it goes to your eyes!
I tried everything for onions, too! Then a TikTok said put a wet paper towel near them and it worked! If you cut the onion in half, sit it by the paper towel and walk away for about 10 minutes, it works better.
The best cutting onion hack!! You need a fresh sharp knife!! Sharpen right before. The more you “damage” the onion cutting it with a dull knife the more the burning juices flow!
