13 अक्टूबर से SAU के छात्र मास्टर्स (Masters) और पीएचडी स्कॉलरशिप (PhD scholarship) में बढ़ोतरी की मांग को लेकर धरना दे रहे हैं. 1 नवंबर को, उन्होंने अनिश्चितकालीन धरना शुरू किया, प्रशासन के फर्श की लॉबी पर कब्जा कर लिया। दो अन्य छात्रों को वर्तमान शैक्षणिक वर्ष के अंत तक विश्वविद्यालय से निष्कासित कर दिया गया है. हमने बात की यूनिवर्सिटी के छात्रों से जिन्होंने बताया की वे अपने शोध को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए इन्फ्लेशन की दर को ध्यान में रखते हुए जेआरएफ के साथ मिलकर अपनी छात्रवृत्ति में वृद्धि चाहते हैं. देखिये हमारी संवाददाता Oohini की ये रिपोर्ट.

SAU is not yet a mature university ,there are many issues due to instabilities in Pakistan ,Afghan ,Srilanka ,may be in upcomjng 4-5 yrs ,we hope the best. India and Bangladesh govt only actively participating in it. Other countries are lacking in participation. Its bad news of your fanancial loss,but take admission in a regular institution,and focus on your careere. Its a jnternational chaos,have a good luck brother

I took admission in the department of Computer Science in the Master's course this year from Bangladesh.
However, upon paying the tuition of 48000 Rupees, I decided to cancel my admission for some personal reasons.
As per the rules, I could have gotten back 40,500 Rupees if my admission cancellation would be processed before 20th July.
And, I did so. I emailed the admission authority to cancel my admission so long before that and I got a reply from them on the 13th July.
But...
They didn't cancel my admission and told me to show my medical reports for which I had applied for cancellation.
I submitted my eye prescription and waited for their reply for so long. But no reply was given!
Finally, I phoned them and they informed me that my issues were not major and so they didn't cancel my admission.
So, I was kind of forced to join the course and prepared for that on 5th August.
Unfortunately, on 5th August, I missed my flight and couldn't board there.
So, this time, I decided to cancel my admission finally and mailed them.
Still, no reply came for a period of 2 weeks.
In the meantime, there was a notification from the department to join online classes and I showed some interest in that.
So, I mailed them again showing my interest in online classes.
But this time, they canceled my admission and didn't allow me to join classes online!! Ridiculous!
Why they canceled my admission this time instead of earlier?
Because according to the rules, the deadline for getting a refund of a bigger sum had already been over.
And, my poor luck!
They said that I was eligible to get a refund of only 7500 Rupees! So, a loss of 40,500 rupees which had gone totally in vain because of their heinous tricks!
And, after a long 2 months, they processed the refund of that petty sum via an online gateway named PayU to the bank account of the Indian person by whom I had paid the tuition fees earlier.
That Indian guy who was to get a refund to his bank account hasn't received the money yet! And, this time the university authority isn't cooperating with me either!!
What a diabolic way to deceive a person and grab his hard-earned money!
An utter shame! An utter shame! Huh!
