I always wondered why Al can't seem to keep a stable job to save his life. That running joke about Al and his numerous jobs caused me to question if he's a problem. It seems so odd that someone with such a storied career hasn't managed to garner financial stability. He always seemed desperate for money and throwing people under the bus for career advancement or spreading malicious rumors is just sad.

The show never made profit back tho from the jump yet it lasted 4 years because it was RELATIONSHIPS that was keeping it together. Claudias relationship to the previous director, Al's relationship to management and then the agenda of Fox as it relates to creating the soul version to market to black consumers (optics)
