My main problem with the knight design was the chest I just wish there were windows, or just maybe some tires in the lower thighs or something like that
The reason i was not a big fan of the knight design was because it made him lose his iconic chest plates. In the earlier movies, you could tell by looking at the guy- "yep, he could be a truck" But the knight design does not hint at his transformation which was kind of a let down for me. But this concept art would be fire tho, lot of truck parts.
It's a cool design no doubt about it, but the trilogy design is just the best. It got hints of G1 in it but with a more modern twist, and he still looked like a truck.
Funny thing about knight prime is that girls were especially simping for him, at first I didn't believe it but I saw a tumblr which I thought was bayverse appreation and in there people literally wanted to be "smashed" by him so I was kind of terrified and I left, no seriously I'm not joking.
Interesting idea I think this would also nicly connect to primes (Optimus and Sentinel) aesthetics being similar to them but having its own thing. Just imagine this trio along each other.
Keep AOE head and sword keep chest design but maybe a bit more color put concept art back onto him along with the shield and for below the torso do a complete mash up and put the silver knight forearms on him but make it the color match the rest of him or maybe a complete red with some gold

I agree that it is over-hated. It may not be the best "transformer" design out there since so little of the truck shows up on the robot mode but it is still pretty dang cool otherwise.

I'm not the biggest fan either. I always felt like there needed to be more of an "in-between" mode. Like maybe when Prime scans the Western Star truck he has a solid mix of both the trilogy design and the knight design, then later on when he gets the sword from the Knights Temenos he takes on the full knight design we see in the film. I think a more gradual change would have helped.
Ehh I wouldn't say that, it is still very clearly robotic although it could be a tad too humanoid so I kinda get where you're coming from. I do miss how they were in the first 3 movies with looking more alien and weird.

They got the yellow right for the concept camaro but not the rims color right

It’s funny how bumblebee got more attention to his style than Optimus Prime as there would be so much cooler styles that prime could have had.

I always hated how much they changed primes design in AoE. I wish it stayed at least somewhat true to the 07 version.
