I'm about to get one that looks the same but it's a 98' one. Do you know where I can get the specs of the guitar? The owner doesn't know much about it and I wanna know more about the body, neck, pick-ups, etc. Cheers!
Hey there, the Les Paul Studios of the 90s are very straightforward in terms of specs, mahogany body, typical weigh close to 10lbs, the earlier 90s studios have an ebony fretboard with block inlays whereas the later 90s have rosewood with dot inlays (such as mine does). The neck itself is a medium C, not quite a slim D but not a baseball bat either. Comes with 490R and 498T pickups.
@@simonaustin1136 thank you very much for this info!! (I read somewhere that some 98' bodies where made of a different kind of wood and due to that people didn't like them. It was just one random comment but you know, you wanna be absolutely sure about this things) Thanks again man
vi su interesting observation! However I dated this one using a serial number lookup, came back as a 1999, if this was an 89 it would be worth nearly twice as much!
@@simonaustin1136 Eh. Interesting. Yeah, I just bought one of these and was looking around for a while. I insisted on getting the 90s version for the inlays. I guess you learn something new every day.

This looks like an 89. Starting from 1990 it started to have the trapazoid inlays.

I have one of these. Bought in 2000 but made late 90s according to the serial number. Has dot markers like this one. Great guitar.
I think.
