  • Aerial Hoop Layback + Layback Under The Hoop Tutorial | UNIQUE AERIALISTS
Safety first: Use a qualified rigger to rig your aerial hoop. Be fully warmed up before you attempt any exercises on the aerial hoop. Place a crash mat underneath you and have a spotter to assist you. If applicable, ensure you are confident and very secure doing a move on your own in the hoop, before attempting it with a doubles partner also in the hoop.
Pre-requisites: All of these can be found on academy.unique...
Man In The Moon (Beginner Moves)
    Birdsnest (Beginner Moves)
    Common mistakes:
Your hands are twisted - make sure your index finger is pointing along your partners forearm to keep your wrist straight.
The bottom person kicking up and suddenly pulling on the top persons arms - gradually lower your weight into your partners arms, keep your movements very smooth and controlled, crunch up instead of kicking up.

Hi I am 13 and I do Ariel Silks and I am trying to learn a routine at home on my silks, but for the routine I am constantly in foot knot on the same foot and now I am getting blisters in my foot and when I'm in the silk I'm in a lot of pain I was just wondering if you have any tips to help the pain. Thanks

Hi ouch that doesn't sound good! It takes a while to build up foot tolerance so do it little and often to build it up gradually. And definitely use your other foot for some sections of your routine! It's really important to train both sides so in this situation you can easily switch to the other side :)
