Could you answer the same question, if Hamas took out the head negotiator on Israeli side? The US MSM is complicit in the murder of Palestinians in Gaza. Israël is a USA fortress in the middle east.
Will Hamas now try to take out Israëli leadership? Or, was this part of the international rules-based order?

Rules for thee, but not for me, wont work as a generally accepted justice system.
@@alwaysfourfun1671 Sure, since 1948, Muslims have been trying to massacre Jews and wipe out the state of Israel from existence taking up the torch from the Nazis.
On 10/7/2023, Hamas massacred more Jews.
Sure, the Israeli intelligence services "knew" of a blueprint for an attack of the type conducted on 10/7, but didn't know of a date and dismissed it as impossible through normalcy bias. They made the same mistake in 1973. Stalin ignored the results of military exercises conducted in the style of Barbarossa, and the US ignored intelligence of an impending Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Intel failures happen.
Rules for who? Both Israel and the Muslims have been forging their own rules that contravene modern Western norms. This rivalry goes back thousands of years and we're just trying to impose our norms on them. The people who are screaming about civilian deaths in the Gaza Strip tacitly justify the Jewish dead of 10/7. So don't come at me with "Rules for thee..." nonsense. No one has been 100% consistent. Every party to a conflict does that. Everywhere around the globe and in every conflict. Hamas was negotiating peace while it will continue to fight against and attack IDF. Similarly while Hamas negotiates through back channels, Hezbollah and other proxy limbs of the Arabs and Iranians will continue hitting Israeli interests as hard as they can.
Russia and Ukraine are still exploring back channel peace through China, Hungary, Turkey etc. But Russia keeps hitting and pounding Ukraine and move towards it's strategic security objectives.
Remember, the negotiate is for Peace. Peace is what? Something that winner determines and on the terms which stronger or winner party decides.
