@@alwaysfourfun1671 Sure, since 1948, Muslims have been trying to massacre Jews and wipe out the state of Israel from existence taking up the torch from the Nazis.
On 10/7/2023, Hamas massacred more Jews.
Sure, the Israeli intelligence services "knew" of a blueprint for an attack of the type conducted on 10/7, but didn't know of a date and dismissed it as impossible through normalcy bias. They made the same mistake in 1973. Stalin ignored the results of military exercises conducted in the style of Barbarossa, and the US ignored intelligence of an impending Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Intel failures happen.
Rules for who? Both Israel and the Muslims have been forging their own rules that contravene modern Western norms. This rivalry goes back thousands of years and we're just trying to impose our norms on them. The people who are screaming about civilian deaths in the Gaza Strip tacitly justify the Jewish dead of 10/7. So don't come at me with "Rules for thee..." nonsense. No one has been 100% consistent. How is that hypocritical?
Talking, negotiating peace and taking out the leader of Hamas.
Every party to a conflict does that. Everywhere around the globe and in every conflict. Hamas was negotiating peace while it will continue to fight against and attack IDF. Similarly while Hamas negotiates through back channels, Hezbollah and other proxy limbs of the Arabs and Iranians will continue hitting Israeli interests as hard as they can.
Russia and Ukraine are still exploring back channel peace through China, Hungary, Turkey etc. But Russia keeps hitting and pounding Ukraine and move towards it's strategic security objectives.
Remember, the negotiate is for Peace. Peace is what? Something that winner determines and on the terms which stronger or winner party decides. Why isn't Russia not accepting Ukrainian peace proposals and continuing with its belligerent pounding. Because it's much more powerful and it knows that I will enforce peace only on its own terms.
So there's only 1 Jus in Belli.
N that is... Winner/more powerful decides what happens.
Had Iran and Arabs been more powerful, they would've wiped and exterminated all Israelis.
When the opposite side was strong in and from 6th Century AD, it did whatever it could.
    Simple as that.

The guy who is responsible is Yahia Al Sinwar who jailed and tortured by Isreal for years, and then tried to recruit him as a mossad agent to infiltrate the resistance. Although this maybe a short propaganda victory, but it wont change anything on the ground. Just did what they have doing for decades and these (illegal) assassinations of top leaders never achieved any long term and strategic victory. Its also a way of coping for these war crminals that never achieved their goals in Gaza and sustained heavy losses with over 1000 tanks/armored vehicles and logistics plus over 30k casualities, way more than khrghgghghggrrramas.
