Another tasty recipe Pearl. 😋 In Dhaka Bangladesh i had something similar called Aloo Chop. And in the UK a friend made Tuna fish chop using mint leaves instead of coriander, and i make them now adding spicy breadcrumbs after dipping in egg.
Hi Pearl. Another excellent recipe and presentation. I just wanted to say my lovely Anglo Indian mother made delicious mince cutlets but another of my favourite cutlets had chilli rumble tumble egg filling. Thank you for sharing your recipes
When I watch one of your video uploads, I sure get hungry for home-food. I'm crazy about pepper water and being a bona-fide Anglo-Indian, I'm sure your prep will be just as tasty as my mother's preparation. None of my brother and sisters could get the spot-on taste my mom used to dish out. Of course, my top fave food is prawns in any cooked form, including vindaloo. I am sure you must also be adept in dishing out Chinese cuisine. Incidentally, when I see you, always looking glamorous, I am reminded of the lovely Susan Hayward during her hey-day. Besides your cooking, your clothes are also an eye-catcher. It's a total pleasure to watch your shows, like it was when I used to watch Nigella Lawsons back in the day. Oh! before I forget, I loved your black pedal-pushers outfit, which was similar to the one worn by the Rock 'N Roll Queen, Lisa Gaye, in Rock around the clock.
Hi my darling Pearl Love your cooking very much. By the way had a sas pearl who left us for a better place. Watching you I remember her so much. Love you and God bless. Keep inspiring us❤
We call these Potato Chops in South India. Your green chutney looks delicious, I’m going to give it a try. Sharing this video with my sister. Thanks again, Pearl
Awesome receipe Pearl will definitely try it for my son's birthday cumng up on 13th.I like the way U teach with patience n the charity work U do for Ur church.God bless you❤
I usually mix the potatoes with the mince and make cutlets and dip in egg and bread crumbs, but I am going to try this style today. Hope I am able to make them without them breaking apart.
This is exactly how my mum would make them in India. I love your cooking Pearl because it’s very similar to my mums style of cooking. Thanks for sharing your delicious recipes. 🙏😋
If I may be permitted to make a gentle correction. These are actually potato chops in Anglo Indian terminology or allu chops in Indian parlance. Cutlets are deep crumb fried and don't contain a potato casing. I'm an Anglo Indian myself. Dinner was invariably Western food and potato chops, such as you made here, were a staple.
Hi Pearl, please don't think I am correcting you here as I am not. As like you, I too cook n share my recipes. I did mention when I was sharing my recipe on Potato Chops that a lot call these cutlets but we Calcutta AI's call the mince chops that are made minus potatoes Cutlets n also another dinner item which is very popular in our home's is Croquettes am sure you are definitely aware of this too.😊
Hi Pearl, love your recipes. I try them every now and then, we enjoy it. I can't help but notice most of your utensils like plates & pots look very Indian. Did you manage to take them all from here, I mean India. Do you still have relatives here in India? Do you visit India often? Sorry for being so nosy, please ignore it if I'm prying 😅. It would be nice if you dedicated a video for Q & A! I love the Anglo Indians, their lifestyle, cooking, dressing etc. All my friends back in school were Anglos & so were my teachers. Church was also full of them. But it's sad that we barely find any Anglos here. They've all moved out of India. So glad i found your channel. God bless you & your family. May your channel grow!!!
Hi Caroline, thanks for your lovely comment and no you not being nosy at all, and you are right most of my brantans 😁are from India , as I go there every year, all my brothers and sisters are there so we catch up every year. ❤️🙏🏽❤️

Pearl, I am completely blown away by your recipes. Reminds me of my childhood and Anglo Indian friends. Where are you in UK? Your face is so familiar.
Hi Sheila , I’m from West Sussex near Brighton ❤️🙏🏽
If I may be permitted to make a gentle correction. These are actually potato chops in Anglo Indian terminology or allu chops in Indian parlance. Cutlets are deep crumb fried and don't contain a potato casing. I'm an Anglo Indian myself. Dinner was invariably Western food and potato chops, such as you made here, were a staple.
Hi Peter, you are right, and yet in our community in Jhansi where I’m from they all called it cutlets. 🙏🏽👌🏻
Well said, who cares!!😊
They're called cutlets here as well by the Anglo Indian community. Minus the potatoes is referred to as chops.
Hi Pearl, please don't think I am correcting you here as I am not. As like you, I too cook n share my recipes.
