For me, my favorite MU for Vergil is Jetstream Sam because of the resurgence of their memes. It’s not a fair match, tbh, but their banter would be pretty funny.

Inuyasha is actually one of the reasons I got into Devil may cry, there's a good bit of similarities between the series, specifically the brothers in particular, being sons of a legendary demon and fighting over family heirlooms etc. From what I've heard, Devil may cry verse is multi-versal in power and scale, Inuyasha's verse is at best moon level to maybe planetary... YES! I knew this would be dark, epic, and totally rockin', and I am glad you and Tony did not disappoint. It's pretty much what I wanted from this track and more, great job as usual, and I'm glad to give this MU its time in the spotlight for an epic clash of demonic swordsmen brothers. The first Inuyasha track, and it's for the, by far, best Inuyasha MU. It's a shame that Sesshomaru loses this. Even without Uni scaling, Vergil simply has too much raw power.
I know, though I remember Sesshomaru's sword Bakusaiga is basically a one-hit kill for any being with incredible regen... But Vergil is just to op for him in the end.

while this would be a fucking cool looking death battle, no question virgil would destroy seshomaru, his abilities are just that much greater, not to mention varied arsenal of weapons, and thats not even including devil trigger. actually was talking to a friend bout this kinda thing and dante or virgil would kinda just easily body even the most powerful demons in the inuyasha world with little to no effort. they are drastically faster, stronger physically and their insane arsenals all not including styles and devil trigger. that said this is fucking awesome music
An old friend from a long time ago when I went by a different name wanted this as an actual Death Battle glad to see it got an amazing track to showcase how awesome a match up it is
Oh ? A 6minute track involving Vergil ? Now that's promising given the last one we got was, long ago yes, but still a complete and utter banger (well, except the vocal version. But we don't talk about early vocal tracks). First thing I thought of when listening to this was immediately "yep, this is probably getting a vocal cover" because, don't get me wrong, it sounds cool, but I just feel with how it's done that it'll receive a vocal version. The way it sounds and how most of the track is weirdly constant in its intensity despite it not necessarily fitting the characters makes me think this. Or it could just be normal and I'm hallucinating. Either way, I quite like this track anyways. The way it uses Bury the Light as its main chorus but with slight shifts to make it seem darker and more grand is really nice and does make it really seem like a DMC track (given, I guess that's cheating a bit as Bury the Light straight up *is* a DMC track). However, the first arcs of the song aren't what interest me the most in the song. That would be the third arc that begins at 3:42 because, starting from this point, the song gets much more unique. Of course the main factor there would be the guitar solo that's frankly quite amazing and fits perfectly both for a DMC track *and* for a battle track, reminds me of the Super Nova segment from One Winged Devil and that's a massive pro given how good that track is. I'll particularly note the small 4:46-4:53 segment which is an utter BANGER even if it's so short. It truly sounds like an epic clash or transformation sequence (likely the second one given it's followed by the last full reprise of the chorus) with all those percussions and I love it. I'll also note the ending at 5:23-5:49 which I find absolutely wonderful. The way it takes Bury the Light but makes it into this calm, majestic and orchestral ending is absolutely amazing. It's both unique and great-sounding. Honestly, it might seem weird but I think that this is my favorite part of the song. Overall, like I said at the beginning, I wouldn't be surprised and I really hope this track gets a vocal version as it already sounds good bu it'd be absolutely perfect for lyrics. Still, as said just before, it's no doubt a more than solid track that takes Bury the Light and takes it into an original light (pun may or may not be intended) that still sounds really good. Amazing job as always.
Cold as the steel they handle, edgy as the swords they use, two demonic big brothers with a severe lack of friends but strength and confidence in massive amounts. This battle would be way more fitting in terms of lore and power scale than the Vergil vs Sephiroth we saw, Wich literally was something like "two white haired with swords, that's cool"

@@lisandrotemple0.3reborn14 To be completely honest I'm surprised no one mentioned this MU just yet so I'll try my best with the connections Both were once power-hungry antagonists and blinded by their ambitions (Vergil in attaining his father's powers so history won't repeat itself and Princess Luna being envious of her sister to the point of turning into Nightmare Moon and rule Equestria by herself) Both Don a similar color scheme I.e Blue and black (It's obvious but it won't hurt to mention it) Both are siblings to the Main character of the franchise they came from Both eventually reformed and joined their sibling to defeat a far greater threat by setting aside their differences (The Mane 6 erasing Nightmare Moon for good while Vergil restored his humanity by V and Urizen fusing beforehand) Both posses and manipulate powers related to Dark/Demonic arts (Vergil being a half demon that can transform into his Devil trigger form while Luna manipulates darkness and nightmares via Nightmare Moon) Those are the connections I could come up with so forgive me if it's not good

Both favor colse quarters combat and have limited ranged options, so for any animation, we are looking at a speedy sword fight that would never let up until one of them drops dead. - They are cold, solitary warriors who answer to no one, when compared to their younger brother who regularly travels with other people helping him. - They both struggle to control their cool, despite seeming nearly unbreakable on the outside. - Both tend to look down on the weak and disrespect people who they don't know and have a very sharp tongue, so the interaction potential is great. - And most importantly: they are both constantly simped for by their fanbase.

@@gameuniverse5973 that's exactly why. DMC goes low universal at minimum on the daily. KH is super rare with it's universal scaling but when they do it it's not small potatoes. But considering V is the puppet master and a side of Vergil, the best MU is probably Ansem SOD.

Idk crap about Inuyasha, but my preferred MU for Vergil is vs Jetstream Sam. Yes, it's a stomp for Vergil but the two have alot in common and I think the fight itself would be sick if they were equalized stats. (That, and in theory the HF Blade that Sam uses should in theory be able to negate Virgil's regen, so in theory Sam could kill Vergil)
Equalized stats doesn't save Sam from Devil Trigger or summoned swords or any other hacks. Muramasa would be able to hurt Vergil, yes, but Sam has no way to land the required blows.
This got me thinking. This might actually be Sesshomaru's W if they equalized stats. Yes, Vergil has a better arsenal and is arguably more skilled, but Sesshomaru is definetly the cooler head of the two and has a fair bit more experience. Bakusaiga can potentially one shot if he lands a hit with it on equal stats, so there's a good chance he wins the equal stats fight
I don’t think Sam’s HF blade would be able to negate his regeneration. That said, it probably could still harm Vergil during a stat equal since the limit of HF Blades (and they DO have limits) wouldn’t matter because Vergil’s durability has been lowered to Sam’s level.
@@redreaper9622 Yes, but then you compare something that cuts on the molecular level, a strong feat true, to the sword literally able to cleave dimensions. Vergil just outhaxes even if in swordplay and experience Sam has the advantage.

while this would be a fucking cool looking death battle, no question virgil would destroy seshomaru, his abilities are just that much greater, not to mention varied arsenal of weapons, and thats not even including devil trigger. actually was talking to a friend bout this kinda thing and dante or virgil would kinda just easily body even the most powerful demons in the inuyasha world with little to no effort. they are drastically faster, stronger physically and their insane arsenals all not including styles and devil trigger. that said this is fucking awesome music

An old friend from a long time ago when I went by a different name wanted this as an actual Death Battle glad to see it got an amazing track to showcase how awesome a match up it is
This is a better matchup than Sephiroth. Awesome track.
Oh ? A 6minute track involving Vergil ? Now that's promising given the last one we got was, long ago yes, but still a complete and utter banger (well, except the vocal version. But we don't talk about early vocal tracks).
First thing I thought of when listening to this was immediately "yep, this is probably getting a vocal cover" because, don't get me wrong, it sounds cool, but I just feel with how it's done that it'll receive a vocal version. The way it sounds and how most of the track is weirdly constant in its intensity despite it not necessarily fitting the characters makes me think this.
Or it could just be normal and I'm hallucinating.
Either way, I quite like this track anyways. The way it uses Bury the Light as its main chorus but with slight shifts to make it seem darker and more grand is really nice and does make it really seem like a DMC track (given, I guess that's cheating a bit as Bury the Light straight up *is* a DMC track).
However, the first arcs of the song aren't what interest me the most in the song. That would be the third arc that begins at 3:42 because, starting from this point, the song gets much more unique. Of course the main factor there would be the guitar solo that's frankly quite amazing and fits perfectly both for a DMC track *and* for a battle track, reminds me of the Super Nova segment from One Winged Devil and that's a massive pro given how good that track is.
I'll particularly note the small 4:46-4:53 segment which is an utter BANGER even if it's so short. It truly sounds like an epic clash or transformation sequence (likely the second one given it's followed by the last full reprise of the chorus) with all those percussions and I love it.
I'll also note the ending at 5:23-5:49 which I find absolutely wonderful. The way it takes Bury the Light but makes it into this calm, majestic and orchestral ending is absolutely amazing. It's both unique and great-sounding. Honestly, it might seem weird but I think that this is my favorite part of the song.
Overall, like I said at the beginning, I wouldn't be surprised and I really hope this track gets a vocal version as it already sounds good bu it'd be absolutely perfect for lyrics. Still, as said just before, it's no doubt a more than solid track that takes Bury the Light and takes it into an original light (pun may or may not be intended) that still sounds really good. Amazing job as always.

Cold as the steel they handle, edgy as the swords they use, two demonic big brothers with a severe lack of friends but strength and confidence in massive amounts.
This battle would be way more fitting in terms of lore and power scale than the Vergil vs Sephiroth we saw, Wich literally was something like "two white haired with swords, that's cool"

To be completely honest I'm surprised no one mentioned this MU just yet so I'll try my best with the connections
Both were once power-hungry antagonists and blinded by their ambitions (Vergil in attaining his father's powers so history won't repeat itself and Princess Luna being envious of her sister to the point of turning into Nightmare Moon and rule Equestria by herself)
Both Don a similar color scheme I.e Blue and black (It's obvious but it won't hurt to mention it)
Both are siblings to the Main character of the franchise they came from
Both eventually reformed and joined their sibling to defeat a far greater threat by setting aside their differences (The Mane 6 erasing Nightmare Moon for good while Vergil restored his humanity by V and Urizen fusing beforehand)
Both posses and manipulate powers related to Dark/Demonic arts (Vergil being a half demon that can transform into his Devil trigger form while Luna manipulates darkness and nightmares via Nightmare Moon)

- Both of them have a rivalry with their younger brothers, As they see their younger brothers as nothing but a nuisance for their goal (Inuyasha & Dante).
- Their personalities are complete opposites with their younger brothers (Both of them being calm & calculative while their young brothers are hot-headed).
- Both of the brother pairings carry heavy inspiration from the "red oni, blue oni" mythos from Japanese folklore
- Both of them also use swords that belong to their late fathers.
- Both of them eventually reconcile with their younger brothers when they are dealing with bigger threats.
-Both of them also have children who are part human.
- Both are swordfighters who use classic looking katanas with special powers, and rely on their speed and agillity to win most fights. Both favor colse quarters combat and have limited ranged options, so for any animation, we are looking at a speedy sword fight that would never let up until one of them drops dead.
- They are cold, solitary warriors who answer to no one, when compared to their younger brother who regularly travels with other people helping him.
- They both struggle to control their cool, despite seeming nearly unbreakable on the outside.

Idk crap about Inuyasha, but my preferred MU for Vergil is vs Jetstream Sam. Yes, it's a stomp for Vergil but the two have alot in common and I think the fight itself would be sick if they were equalized stats. (That, and in theory the HF Blade that Sam uses should in theory be able to negate Virgil's regen, so in theory Sam could kill Vergil)
Equalized stats doesn't save Sam from Devil Trigger or summoned swords or any other hacks.
Muramasa would be able to hurt Vergil, yes, but Sam has no way to land the required blows.

This got me thinking. This might actually be Sesshomaru's W if they equalized stats. Yes, Vergil has a better arsenal and is arguably more skilled, but Sesshomaru is definetly the cooler head of the two and has a fair bit more experience. Bakusaiga can potentially one shot if he lands a hit with it on equal stats, so there's a good chance he wins the equal stats fight
I don’t think Sam’s HF blade would be able to negate his regeneration. That said, it probably could still harm Vergil during a stat equal since the limit of HF Blades (and they DO have limits) wouldn’t matter because Vergil’s durability has been lowered to Sam’s level.
