Great video. I try to practice moving and shooting as much as possible, it's mostly dry fire for obvious reasons. Have a good one, stay safe out on the range everybody!
Good. Moving backwards using toe-heel lessens chance of tripping. I personally don’t shuffle back though, using a slow backwards toe-heel walk. Sideways the shuffle is fine for very short distances (movement to cover as you said). Longer distances I point toes in direction of movement while keeping firearm down range. So I “walk the box “ in training - forward two controlled pairs, side same, backwards same, then other side same. Thanks for video.
I'd like to see a not so ideal terrain video series. How unusual obstacles are approached. There was some with the timed run through that river bed (?) a while back. Equally interesting unusual situations that could be the most normal thing for you guys but can be dangerous if one doesn't know how to not bang into things, change the sling for some carry situations, entering/exiting vehicles, dealing with doors, dealing with reflections, background light that can't be avoided atm, function checks after tripping.
The only problem with active self protection is the host thinks civillians shouldnt practice reloads cause he thinks its not important for civilians to be proficient in them based on his "authorative experience" his words not mine. Obviously I think anyone who advocates openly to civillians that not being proficient in a fundamental skill in shooting is a ok should be taken with a grain of salt. With that said theres a few things he nails but obviously his skills dont reflect what he preaches considering his opinion on fundamental skills and being proficient in them, again take what he says with a grain of salt.
HAHAHA This guy has never been in battle, with that kinda technique your hit rate is so bad you will shoot just up to the air. You cant aim and its just very bad walking. The trick is just to walk and turn your HIPS in the direction you are going, going backward walk similarly like moving forward. Then you don't jump around, look how much is mussel jumps

Love the subtle details, my question would be when would you decide to do a tactical reload for your carbine, and do they apply to sidearms?
