Dear Raimundo, thanks for your comment! But let me say please that it is not 'very very fast' it is just different than the most familiar recordings you know. A pianist who composes for guitar has a completelly different sense of tempo. Let any piano player play this movement and listen which tempo she-he will take. Allegro moderato is not moderato, it is just fast but not too much. I think that a slightly fast tempo displays better the large harmonical lines and connections of this masterpiece, a slower tempo on the contrary runs the risk to shows many small jewels but without creating a chain which holds them together. Different priorities. By the way, obrigado, have a lovely day.
