There was a history of wanting me to train people, beyond orientation, for higher positions in private offices or with skills they should've already possesed if above my grade. When I tried to transfer to a higher skills lab my manager said the position requires a degree. I stated I possess a degree. She said an associates degree doesn't qualify. When I expressed I have a B.S. from the University, she stared at me as though I told a bad joke. I tried to work elewhere with no luck and someone suggested I may have been blackballed and a local reputation. If your outspoken regarding observed practice disparities your not a "Team player" and a rebel rouser. Make a good viable measurable suggestion and it's diminished but later may be implemented. More often than not wherever you are you will be working in a network that has a high number of black patients. Stand by your patients who know and can understand what you are going through. Tell your patients the truth, watch out for them and confide in them, they allies. As a chronically ill disabled brother I will go hard for the healthcare staff that do right by me. Worked in healthcare since 2005. Took only a few months to figure I am a target so I lie to co workers and give them all types of info that aint even my real life. Then I tell different people different things about me that are not even true. Keeps them occupied! When it gets quiet, that’s when I know they all spoke with each other, shared all the different stories and can’t figure it out. That’s how I kept from being a target. No one knows what to believe at this point. All they ask is, “how are you”.
Meanwhile, due to false vulnerability, I know who has had abortions, who is 2 steps away from divorce, who is sleeping around with other workers and much more!!! I got ammo if anyone wants to start any damn thing.
Also, say you don’t have social media and make your facebook private so they only see a photo and a small description. When they say, “I found you on social media” ask them to show you how they found you. I can only be found by my personal email, not my name or phone number!!

She told no lies. I was a physician assistant for 30 years and been stressed out the entire time from toxic work environments. I mostly worked in under served areas & my patients were happy to have a person of color taking care of them. They spoke highly of me and requested me often. That’s all it took to start the ball rolling. I became a target. I was so stressed out, it affected my health, I went on medical leave and eventually retired. Best decision I ever made leaving the “sick” care field. It’s never about a patients health.

I work in a field right now, for some reason my coworkers are amping up the recordings of me. Using their phone to video me, they are resorting to lying too, consistenly calling the bad supervisor like he isnt trying to get rid of them too. I dont know what is happening, maybe since they know I wont work there anymore, they assume I am moving up. Or just the thought of me moving out of that place pisses them off. And I didnt know why i was being treated like this until now.

My mom used to talk about this all the time. She has retired this past year, but once, when on a travel assignment in Massachusetts, they mistook her as the kitchen staff or janitorial service until she put her uniform on. In 2021, I couldn't believe she called to tell me about that.

Where I work all nurses wear a partucular color. I had on my white nursing uniform and a Caucasian nurse with the same color uniform delegated me to go change her patient. I looked at her and was like "I'm a nurse and I don't work on this floor." She looked at my uniform and was like "oh" and walked away. I was dressed in all white and even had in a white jacket. I was on the floor to grab something for one of patients because we ran out of it on my floor. Also, when nurses change patients we do it together or with the CNA.

Lord have mercy!!! especially in the office!!! You just don't know the whole truth about them folks!!! Only the Father in Heaven see them clear through!! They can even post names of co-workers who they want to attend their parties... I worked with them 10 years straight and if had not been for my grandparents schooling me about them and what to expect out of them...I would have been crying for 10 years, but two strong people in my life caused me to know how to deal with it until I advance myself.
