What a fun idea for a video ... nice job. Helpful tips. Interesting that a camera bag didn’t make the list! 😁 I’m glad you mentioned clothing as critical equipment ... a comfortable jacket or vest with convenient pockets is key. Dust remover and lens cleaning cloth, (smart tip to hold camera w/lens opening facing downward). Having, and knowing how to use, a strobe/flash is also key; those “new” LED lights look to be amazing. Solid tips on sound, shotgun mics and how to reduce/eliminate wind noise.
Some good tips here. I'd make better videos if I did all of them, that's for sure. For instance, If I use a mic it seems like I have a 50% chance to completely botch the audio. Just me being the camera noob. haha.
One thing or another. Rec levels too low, rec levels too high, mic not plugged in all the way, wrong connector cable, loose cable flopping and clicking, lol. It never ends. It's all good, I'm no pro and I'm not getting paid..
