    Hi, I'm a Czech who has been a Mexican national for 18 years. My first time in Mexico was in Morelia, it's a very beautiful and working city.
    Now I live in another city called Irapuato.
    I moved here for work reasons but I really recommend Morelia.

    My wife and I relocated to Morelia a year and a half ago. She's Mexican and I'm from Reno, Nevada. It's a magical place!
    The cost of living, beautiful architecture, cultural offerings are all great. My wife has a lot of family here, so it's helped with the assimilation into the life.
    We live about 10 minutes from El Centro. We rented a beautiful 3 bdrm/3 bath, 4000 sq ft home. It costs us 8000 pesos monthly ($400 USD).
    Have seen no crime here yet, no police issues, and have had no problems in mixing with the people.
    The best move I ever made!

    HELLO!! I am watching this from Morelia just in downtown living very close to Ventura puente.
    Ventura Puente is not that nice at night honestly jajajaj I was surprised she mentioned it for a foreigner. Chapultepec is very nice though.
    Also, $1000 for a department 2 bedrooms? Whaaaat??? Those are super overpriced.
    For that money you can find a very nice house with a car garage in a very nice area close to the expensive shops and malls 😬😬😬 I could even find you a NICE house for like 800-900 dlls (18 thousand, 19 thousand pesos a month)

    • @MexicoRelocationGuide
      @MexicoRelocationGuide  Год назад +4

      I find that the neighborhood of Ventura Puente is perfectly decent and I don't feel it is sketchy at night. But that's my opinion.
      Yes there are probably places for rent for far less than what I mentioned. I'm aware of that. These are only some examples :)
      Thanks for watching!

    Hola Mariana,
    tienes un buen acento del ingles. I can tell Spanish is your 1st language.
    I'd like to add that in downtown Morelia, the main avenue, "avenida madero" is closed on sundays so families can ride their bicycles safely. Also, one of the many foods is gaspachos, which consists of mango, pineapple, and jicama mixed & cut in small pieces with orange & lime juices, onion, ground cheese, hot sauce.... very delicious...saludos y que Dios nos bendiga a todos...
    May God bless all of us....

    Whenever I mention Morelia, everyone comments the crime, Numbeo as well, but you and your viewers don't mention it as a problem. Is it dangerous for normal activities?

    • @MexicoRelocationGuide
      @MexicoRelocationGuide  Год назад +3

      Everyone who? Numbeo is a crowd sourced page and not the police database. If you’re looking to live anywhere and pick based on what’s considered safe, you could still be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
      Having said that, Morelia isn’t any more dangerous or safer than any other city. It’s a false sense of security to assume that a place deemed safe means you shouldn’t practice common sense. As you can see from our videos we share with you how living here is like. And of course we only share cities we deem good places to live. 😉 hope this helps

    Not to be a Debbie-downer, but what about the fact that the state of Michoacan is on the State Departments "Do not travel" Level 4 (worst) warnings? While it's true that Morelia is excluded from the warning, it still means you have to pass into the danger zone whenever leaving the city over land. I'd really like to hear from those expats living there about these concerns ;?)
