so you're saying after years of hitting your line on the fairway and turning to the right side you couldn't figure out to aim left? that's not a good look bro
Target at 12 o'clock, release at 10 o'clock and follow thru to 2 o'clock. That what I picture. I learned a concept called Spin & Throw from an OG Genius DG'er on here called @citysmasher2 on youtube. Check his stuff out, it's like he has unlocked the real way to teach DG instead of the traditional reach back, pull thru method. He is a genius and has taken my game to the next level.
@@christophersuswal9544 I know you're just making a joke, but that means you've chosen the wrong disc / angle. Ricky is throwing a disc / angle that he knows will turn right, so while he is "aiming" at the tree, he isn't trying to hit it. Think of it more as his line is towards that tree initially as opposed to trying to actually hit it.
@@patm3802 I'm not sure if all players go through this, but my muscle memory kicks in a big way. I only bag 12 discs (honestly have no need for more, newbie working out the kinks) but I know exactly how each of them fly. By "aiming" at my target, subconsciously I'm taking in the effect that it's where I want my disc to fly. I find this affect my release, hyzer/anhyzer turn, literally everything when I'm trying to crush a drive.
Almost did that myself my first time there as well. I considered though that some tournaments change the layout of a course sometimes not sure about this one though.. It was cool to see a pro like Ricky play a course I've played though.
What a great thing to do when you're not playing...sharing your gifts! Knowledge of DG is one thing...but when you share it with passion, it becomes Wisdom! This is fantastic LIFE sharing moments that both of them will never forget...PLUS...you have it on video!!! Hahahaha! More respect to you Ricky!!!
Love your family videos Ricky! You're such a good big brother. Thanks so much for autographing my putter at Ledgestone a few months ago. It has especially more meaning to me because you won Ledgestone. - (and you took time to talk to me). Watching you slam those 40-foot putts into the chains is so much more impressive in person than on RUclips. Haha.
Thanks man I’m glad to have spent time with you! And yes 40 footers are more impressive in a real life situation no doubt it’s hard to put it in perspective otherwise.
Being a new empty-nester, this video made my day, I actually grinned and chuckled most of the way through, even with the lunch meat review. Thank you sharing!!!
You have overcome so much Rick. Seeing you now hanging with the family is pretty amazing man. You encourage them yet also keep them competitive. I'm sure they really appreciate and look up to you! Way to take care of your siblings through tough times. I expect nothing less than for you to get that world title back next season! 🤞🙏👍
I love this kind of stuff, Ricky. Just goes to show how good a guy you are. Makes you even more likeable, I didn't think that was possible. Family is everything. Thanks for sharing this.
I couldn't tell as much with Zach, but Vonnie is definitely Ricky's sister. They're pretty similar on many counts! Zach throwing shade at Ricky is always the best, especially considering he gets so much of it thrown at him all in good fun. With big families, sometimes the oldest siblings and the youngest feel very distant from each other. It's nice to see Ricky getting along well with his youngest siblings!
Ricky im really impressed by how nice you are to your sister. It's super cool every girl should have a big brother like you! Sometimes you are a little rough on Zach but that's your little brother and you by law have to give him a hard time!!
I love these videos. It’s wonderful seeing how much you enjoy playing with and helping your siblings, which indirectly helps me with my game! Way to go Ricky, keep up the great work.
As someone who has played a lot with his younger brother and dad, this video is really neat to see. We've had some epic moments out on the courses. Means a lot to me. Good content Ricky!
This one was awesome, brings joy seeing you out there with your family like that. Ricky, I've only met you a few times now but I can honestly say, YOU are a stand up dude. A gentleman at that! Emily and I(North Carolinians) are trying to cover all the A/B and C Tiers we can in the Carolinas, and Virginia. Hoping to be on the big stage (pro tour/NT) scene soon. We would be honored to have a practice round with you sometime! P.S. Our little one enjoyed your practice putting demo you had for the Ace Run Pro practice round at Pipeline last weekend at HubCityHalloween.. he was the toddler probably yelling "DISC!" every time you putted. Lol. Thanks for the video uploads, I SUPER enjoy them as do MANY others.
@@RickySockibombWysocki The upstate is great! I'd love to see you play a round at Trails in Anderson. That's my home course and my personal record is -10. I just finished designing and installing the new tee signs, you should show it some love!

Ricky Wysocki...my favorite player. Next time you come to Cali I officially challenge you at my course. Weddington disc golf course...Texas Walker layout...$75 bucks. There will probably be 100 people there so bring your sharpie.

I love watching you playing with your family. to give a lot of great tips that I'm going to try next time I get out. On another note you should sponsor hole 4 an advertise your pigs.
We definitely need more of this for the off season content, and get that girl in a some tournaments ...her putt game is definitely better than mine and some that I play with 💪. Awesome work Big Brother 😎
Love the family banter n Zach ragging on Ricks shank shots is hilarious Rick kinda forgot about helping his lil brother practice for the tourney lol🤣🤣🤣
Hey Rick. Nice to see your warm hearted family. Your brother has a quite good shot already. Wish him good luck for the tournament if this video was filmed before. P.s.: my favorite is the pulled pork. Especially when you made it yourself... For hours over the open fire😉

Great video. My choice of meat will always be red over any other. I'm very poor, so I have to go with pork or chicken. Keep the videos coming. Take care.
I'm pretty sure Rick's little sister could beat me. 🤣
theses family videos are great. Great to see a whole family playing together
Aiming at the tree you're worried about and letting your disc turn is something I wish I was told years ago. Would have saved a lot of strokes lol
I try this same tactic from time to time. When I do, all of a sudden I get dead straight accuracy 😭😭

Don’t sleep on Vonnie. Looks like she doesn’t give a damn, but is actually very skilled.
Yeah, she was smashing the drives effortlessly. Imagine if she really put her mind to it.
Ricky is the big brother everyone wished they had! good job man!
Thanks for the video, but showing your personal side is especially nice. Hopefully more off season content is great for us.
Yes I will be posting more videos here in the offseason months 👍
The hole you played @ 20:16 actually goes the opposite way lol. I did it my first 2 times playing there too. Thanks for coming through Socki's!!
