    I got a sensas seat box 280 with footplate for 50 quid on ebay.. got it cheap because one of the latches on the tray is a bit fiddly.. Still works fine tho .. then iv got an 11ft shimano solace light feeder rod (3 tips upto 2oz) with a shimano sahara 4000gte reel ... a old ish 12ft daiwa harrier match rod (I love it so use it over a newer daiwa waggler rod I tried) with a daiwa crossfire 3000bg reel .. and iv just started using a pole so have a 8m drennan red range margin pole with 2 top kits with preston duraslip hybrid elastic, 13 in one kit and 15 in the other. My pole sock and rod rest are sensas, keepnets sensas and oakwood (oakwood 3m nets £20!) Sensas was £50 (oakwood is greenish so matches my box and sensas keepnet) side tray and attachments are matrix off my matrix accessory feeder chair. Then I have a cheap avanti pole roller wich I wanna replace with a decent maver or sensas one (want green colour). Oh and my landing net is a 4m maver reality handle and maver net. It all looks smart being green and doesn't stand me at a fortune. Looking to enter my first match this year. Thanks for these tips btw. Be nice to read other people's set ups on a budget. Things I still want.. 10m middy m2 pole ... maver or sensas big pole roller (green one) and a green sensas or maver side tray. All this done on budget.. even got some cheap green maggot and feed tubs for bait. Bought a green sensas hand towel, oh and a special cushion for my bad back but also helps make my box the height I need.

    Great video, I'm currently on a 15 year old Preston X3 I got off eBay prior to that I experienced the dangerous footrest that you talked about, buy second hand but buy a reputable brand their is an element of you get what you pay for, I had the Avanti 16 meter pole a few years ago and it wasn't usable at that length but it was a decent 13 meter carp pole that was strong as hell. It so easy to get suckered into the marketing hype and like you say it's all about selling product these days usually products you don't always need. I've just got £1500 browning pole off eBay for £255 and it's more or less brand new, you must check a second hand pole though don't just walk away without looking at it.

    Top stuff mate much the same situation as myself buy lots of quality used tackle also discontinued ranges because they've been updated got to say don't buy used without doing your homework check what you're buying if you can or buy from someone you know because believe it or not some people out there on the selling websites will rip you off. Must admit just like your no compromise on your side tray I have Shimano reels and they are quality and not that expensive because they never brake and wear really well picked up two 3000 baitrunners for £60 each brand new. Top job mate tight lines (Chloe's Dad) 🤗🎣👍

    My ONE tip visit and compare shop prices with each other you will be amazed how much it's different well here in Belgium and can save you from 1 euro to 30 euro example the Magnitude 320 one shop 140 the other sold theirs for around the 100

    This is a really good video for people who do have low budget's myself being 1. I'm getting a matrix P25 seatbox for xmas and a few attachments too. What is your opinion on telescopic rods because there are some good ones that are around 50 euros which I find good space wise.

      I wouldn't get a telescopic rod personally, they've never been any good. Get a small rod you can carry split in half if you are going to be roving.

    I hope to see you do a video on cheap made baits too.

      Certainly can do in the future. If you want cheap groundbait Google vitalin or layers mash, great for bream when mollases added.

    Hi there,
    Great video. This may seem like a silly question, but i am looking at getting my first seat box, the matrix p25. Are seat boxes able to use other tackle companies accessories or will i have to buy Matrixs' only?

    • @MatchfishingTVUK
      @MatchfishingTVUK  4 года назад +1

      Hi Cameron, not a silly question at all mate. The 25 in P25 relates to the diameter of the legs, in this case 25mm. Any stuff that is for 25mm legs or has adaptors included with it (mostly all do now) will fit. You can take your pick. I've got a 25mm leg Sensas seatbox with Matrix, Preston MAP and Guru bits on it at any time! Hope that helps 👍
