    Can I ask Martin, do you always use a fallout remover BEFORE you snow foam or was it because the car was near enough new? I usually do it after I snow foam but the more I think about it the more it makes sense to do it before when the car is dry so it clings that bit better.
    I think you used BH Korrosol in this case because they don't make a product called Iron Out as far as I'm aware, I think that may be Auto Finesse?
    Another great video thank you!

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  3 года назад +1

      Hi Steve, you make a couple of valid points. First you are absolutely right in that I used BH Korrosol. Iron out is a very apt name and I have tended to call all fallout products iron out. Clearly misleading so I will try to get the name right in future. Thanks for pointing it out, I missed it in editing and suspect I would continue to make the same mistake if not called out 👍. The application of a fallout remover before a wash does create a debate. I usually use it after washing but the more I think about it, I can't see any negatives in using it before, depending on how dirty the car is. In fact the reason I used it before in this case was that as it was a new car & quite clean, I wanted to really make sure it was all off so wanted to use the wash to ensure it was all safely removed. As you know, I never use my channel to say "how it should be" but "this is what I do". A day in the life if you like. If you prefer to use it after washing & it works for you then cool.

      @@ObsessiveCarDetailer I think I am going to go with using Korrosol before snow foaming from now on Martin, for the exact reason you said - my car is never that dirty and I think it may well be able to do it's fallout removing job better on a fairly clean but dry car with the snow foam layered over the top. kurtinbloom hi, good to hear from you. It’s a chenille duster made by Morgan. I bought it from Homebase for £1:75. It’s great, gets behind most brake callipers. The one in the video is about a year old. Easy to clean as the mop comes off the handle so you could put it in the washing machine if you wanted. I just wash it in the left over car shampoo bucket at the end of my detail. Hope that helps

      Hello Tony, thank you. When you look at the whole GT range there isn't an average product in the line. As a product range they are my favourite brand. Maz & Roger who own the company are also nice guys and always helpful. The blower is a Dewalt, check out the video I have on it. Any questions then drop me a comment and I will always get back to you👍

      @@ObsessiveCarDetailer Martin, many thanks for the prompt reply.
      I've got their car and wheel shampoo on my next shopping list, as I have a bit of other products to finish.
      To be honest I was thinking of the Turtle Wax Pro line when it comes out here in the UK. But the more I see of GT products the more I'm getting to want to try them. Plus if truth be known, I think (and i mean this in a nice way) I'd rather try and help an up and coming company albeit on a really small scale. I doubt TW will miss my few groats anyway.
      I'll have a butchers at your dryer vid. Cheers

      @@tonyjoe5707 you won’t be disappointed in the GT products and like you I like to look at the smaller companies. They just seem to give a more personal service and these guys have been detailing for years so they know what they want. Please let me know how you get on with the products whatever you decide to buy. Happy Christmas 👍

      @@Ian-ky6hm ok, don't know what I did🤷‍♂️. ok so I only used the blower on the parts where water was dwelling. I didn't use it on this car's paintwork as I had removed all the protection and the water would not easily blow off. If however you have a car with good levels of protection then I use the blower all over as the water will fly off. As for the blower, it's the right solution for me and cost effective. Check out my previous video on the blower and any questions, drop me a comment and I will try my best to answer them👍

    Do you not do any polishing

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  3 года назад

      Hi Gary, yes I do but only when its necessary. Im not of the opinion that your car should be polished on a regular basis as there is only so much clear coat on the paint. I have seen a video on youtube where it it suggested that a car should be polished yearly. I don't believe that should be the case for most cars unless it's a show car. Most cars are daily users and minor issues are unavoidable. If you polished a car every time you noticed a swirl or minor scratch then it should be left at home in the garage. I have a couple of polishers but would consider myself a novice. Hope that is of help

      Hi Dave, on this occasion because I wanted to ensure all previous protection was removed I decided to use iron out first and kept the snow foam alive on the car for longer. But what ever works for you👍

      Nothing odd about it at all.
      Many pro detailer will lay down an iron fallout remover before adding a layer of snow to the car. Long before a contact wash.
      Greatly increases dwell time for the fallout remover and ensures better removal.
