we have that in Hawaii, wait until it breaks down before rush hour and people are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic until 11pm. Some battery or such got fried so they put a back up battery in and fried that one to. But it only broke down once since we had it and we've had it for years.
An expensive truck and barrier, but this is going to save so many people so much time by easily adjusting to north/south traffic flow I can see how the math makes sense.
I can't tell if you mean this sarcastically or not, but I believe that what you think is a solid line is actually the top of the barrier. Either that or Voldemort has taken over the bridge.

I drove into San Francisco on the really narrow side and on the way back it was also the narrow side ... I thought it was some kind of witchcraft.
Will the road zipper still work if it's involved in an auto collision?
So are they going to change the lane configuration every day?
They have to stop traffic in both directions to do this? Jeez.
It's also erasing and re-painting the lines! What sort of sorcery is this?

Kelly S Oh my gosh, you're right. My mistake.
No worries, I had thought the same thing initially :)
pfffft. where's the double decker seating for the hipsters along for the realignment?
