You know a crazy double standard? A battle medic would be kicked for not healing and be labeled an asshole, but a Hoovy wouldn't be kicked for GIVING SANDVICHES TO THE OTHER TEAM. Medic and engi suffer as a direct cause of bad teammates, poor timing/placement, lack of protection, or otherwise bad tactics that are costing the match as well as multiple deaths. A medic or engi player isn't a "terrible person" because they decide to become independent in the form of a battle medic or battle engi every once and a while because their team is letting them down and ignoring them when you give any input.

The only medic melee that you never need to pull out to have an effect is the solemn vow which is good for battle medic because, like spy, you can pick off low health enemies. it pairs well with the crossbow in both battle medic and normal medic too.

I would have successfully 1v1d a heavy if a soldier didn't show up. our team was going full medic and we had pushed a cart to the final terminus, and I had singled out a heavy and had almost killed him when this fucking soldier couldn't comprehend the absolute as whooping I was giving this heavy for putting himself out of position and killed me

The blutsauger is so fun to use and incredibly effective. I’ve taken down heavy/medic combos single handed as a medic just because they often underestimate you and it’s easy to strafe around the heavy and outheal the chip damage he hits you with

Regarding the energy drink thing: yeah, they dont really help out with the fatigue after a bad sleep. They do, however, pump your blood full of coffeine which prevents you from being able to sleep and a ton of sugar to give you that vigor sensation. Drinking them at the evening/night might also be the case of why you are not getting rested in the first place. Im feeling much better after i've dropped my habit of drinking monster after work.
Only time I've found Coffee, Pop, or Energy drinks do anything noticeable is when I'm going to sleep in 5 hours or when I'm playing a game. The former is a pita.
Medic is the best class in game for any situation. The problem is so few people are actually qualified to use medics for more then just point and hold. It’s really cute seeing some one go medic because they just watched a 2000+h vet solo a push. But they need to start small and know the class and it’s weapons, it’s nuances, and what build works best for them, before they can truly appreciate the unacknowledged capabilities of a true medic main.
