- There's mounting global criticism of Israeli forces in southern Lebanon firing towards UN peacekeepers- during Israel's conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon. It follows a second incident in 48 hours of international peacekeepers being injured at their base.
The IDF says troops fired at an “immediate threat” emanating from near a peacekeeping position, on Friday. US President Joe Biden has said he is - quote - "absolutely, positively" urging Israel to stop firing at UN peacekeepers.
In Gaza, Médecins Sans Frontières says thousands of people are trapped in a camp in the city of Jabalia as Israeli forces attack the area.
