@johnofwrong01 one key thing that I think a ghola is out is the fact that Duncan was the first to recover previous memories so a figure like Paul or Leto without his memories is unlikely but a face dancer is more likely that they had a personality of their own even if its a bit lacking but still programmable and they could of been that type of figure theoretically
Who says he regained his memory? He just says he did--he could be on a script. And gholas have metal eyes 10000 years later, but earlier they may be real.
@nicholashermes5023 the concept of desmond being the being that the beni gesserit fear in that dark corner is not likely because it's the male genetic memory that they can't see and him being a ghola wouldn't make sense in the timeline to be both since he has restricted memories thats why I believe he's another face dancer but what's the director going to do he already messed up the past selves by giving them memories of after conception of the child which is proven in children of dune and the guild ships being tunnels but that one is not important in this case
We don’t know if the Face Dancers were created at this time. Maybe Theo ability is a wild ability like the ones that the Rossak witches had and it was from her dna that the face dancer would be made, this could be so interesting. And the problem with the ghola theory is that Duncan was the first ghola to have his memories restored and that was millennia after that.
I agree Theo is a Tleilaxu spy. The sisters think they're the silent power, but the Tleilaxu are even more hidden. They'll be a big baddie going into Dune 3, imo.
Are you conflating the Dune films with the TV series? Remember these are the EARLY days of the Bene Texlaxu technology, therefore Theodosa is still an experimented on female and Desmond is not yet a ghola being but maybe a clone.
How exactly? you could be right, but even if she is XX, she's still a mutated creature from birth... the face dancers are created in the living bloated human breeding tanks, not made post birth with a surgical operation, she was born that way, not experimented to be that way.
I'm a little concerned that the art direction of the show precedes that of the Dune Messiah movie. Is continuity important here? I'm sure a film budget would open up opportunities for visual interpretations - hopefully they don't feel tethered to the show.
I think the show is just a lower budget of an overall teaser for Messiah. That’s why they’re introducing Face dancer, and gholas. As well as giving us insight on how the landsraad operates. So that fans can have an idea of what happened when the movie drops.
She was comforting Valya. Realizing Valya will do whatever for the sisterhood, even “killing” her uncle. So Theo is willing to do the same by using her face dance.
@@Binge_Zone Yes but the way Valya was asking her about the past decisions that were made by her brother felt almost as Valya let herself belive that she is speaking with her brother. It just fell a bit off. She is a bene g, she should be idk less emotional especially in front of her acolyte.
So did Desmond kill Prewet because to foil Valya’s plans or because he used a thinking machine because before he kills him he said “Your sacrifice wont be in vain “ or something like that Aww makes me so sad he was just a boy

I'm soo conflicted by Desmond. Dude is a crazy zealot ready to burn anyone at a moments notice without batting an eye. @@unikeko96 They're not though... Definitionally, they are NOT trans.... You got the best explanation out of the entire RUclips I’m all inn for the book spoilers keep em coming!
Thought the same thing.
😎great job!!! Look forward to go next week! Or the next video lol
The problem with Desmond being a ghola is that Duncan Idaho is the first ghola to regain his memories , also ghola have metal eyes
The eyes not sure if its true but yes Duncan was the first gola but desmond could be a face dancer more likely
@reaty05 it's true about the eyes it goes into detail about Duncan weeping in children of Dune and that even though they are metal he could still weep

Love this série TV.
A very good complement with the films of Villeneuve.

Don't you think Desmond meant to leave his blood to be scanned thru the codex? Seemed like he did it on purpose to me..
If he has nanites, it could corrupt the codex.

What was the point of the dialogue between tleilaxu and valia about her brother. It makes no sense.
She was comforting Valya. Realizing Valya will do whatever for the sisterhood, even “killing” her uncle. So Theo is willing to do the same by using her face dance.
