I'm kind of on a wildflower doodling kick these days and I've been obsessively painting every flower that comes to mind with my new gouache brushes! This week is a much more freestyle approach than many of my other recent vids - we're painting from memory, making adjustments on the fly and positioning things wherever we feel they fit best. We'll lean on instinct a lot, but I explain everything as we go along :)
From this beginner friendly tutorial, you'll learn how to:
✨ Paint echinacea with subtle shadow + highlight details
✨ Add simple supporting foliage and florals
✨ Edit stems to improve the viewer's focus + reduce clutter
✨ Adjust opacity for added depth
    ✨ Create a painterly background
Grab the free color palette and brushes above to get started!
I use the Paperlike screen protector on my 3rd gen iPad Pro (12.9", 256GB). More info here: paperlike.com/everytuesday
I'm also using the NimbleGrip by Uppercase on my 2nd gen Apple Pencil. Check it out/pick it up here: every-tuesday.com/grip
This artwork was created on a 3rd gen iPad Pro (12.9", 256GB) along with a 2nd gen Apple Pencil using the Procreate app (v.5.1.6)

Beautiful! Two things I struggled with this lesson was first having to go back and double check the size the brush was set to at different times, and second not being able to see the petal work for the Echinacea leaves at all because they were too light on the white background. Otherwise, it was great! I'm still having a difficult time with learning how to draw leaves with pressure alone, but I'm trying! Practice, practice, practice...

So beautiful! It was impossible for me to see you when you first started painting. I’m wondering why you didn’t put the darker background on there first so it was better contrast. It finally started making sense when you added the leaves and stems though. Beautiful work! Thank you again

Hallo Teela, a wonderful Bouquet 💜 I have a Procreate question....you write with the pen when you rename a Layer. How does it work? I cant do this

This is beautiful. But I have on question; why do the stems show through the little white puffs of flowers but not the Echinacea. Can you make it so the stems don't show? Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.

Lovely Are you considering selling the brushes individually? Or a pick and pay pack?

Hi Teela, I really enjoy watching your videos and I am keen to take up the online lessons. However, they are quite pricey for me when I convert them to Malaysian Ringgit (RM832). Is there any thinking around adjusting the pricing to improve accessibility? Thank you so much and looking forward to your response :)

It’s super fast for a beginner to understand what she is doing , under which brushes segment or moving etc etc
