Thank you for this vid! Irene is way better then people give her credit for. She has good flow, dynamics, and is versatile. Not to mention her potential in freestyle… It’s ok if people don’t like red velvets rap line but saying “they should stop rapping/they’re bad” is an insult to all of us who genuinely enjoy their raps. Irene’s raps this Japanese album were awesome. SM needs to give her more opportunities to promote her skills. I’m talking having long rap lines in title tracks and letting her write lyrics. wrote a paragraph oops 🐸😭
Facts! I saw her birthday Vlog from last year and she talks about training as a rapper (even though people think she was just handed the title) and talked about how she wrote rap lyrics as a trainee and even read some of them. She might prefer singing more possibly but I think sm also doesn't let her grow in this department. I'm happy though that within this last year I've seen her really rapping a lot more and looking super confident doing it, while also giving us lead vocalist vocals and main dancer dancing. She's an underrated ace that doesn't get the props in her talents because of her visual title.
