Yep pretty much griefed his entire group. Fear would have made that whole situation much more manageable.
this was hard to watch
it was one of the worst players I've seen on this channel, clicking abilities (even on his primary hotbar, like #5), if he'd multidotted all 4 of the elites from the start he might've killed them. Also fear, yeah, but another thing would be to not let those 4 get pulled in the first place.
Might've been hunter pet, warlock pet, or a totem pulling them, didn't see which.
The last clip was great hahahah . The boys coming back down the elevator to try and save the pally 😂 soo good
That German guy playing the warlock fighting Herod was unbelievably bad. Gives me nightmares thinking people in my group could play that poorly.
yeah, i REALLY hope he was new to the game because that was one of the WORST performances i have ever seen. He literally did NOTHING right for 2 minutes straight. IF he literally just smashed his head against his keyboard there would be a high chance he wouldve done more useful things than what he did. And the worst is that he gets to survive while a tank and healer die.
I got kinda ashamed to be a german on that clip NGL.
I think they were intentionally dragging the fight out so the tank and healer would die

The moment when he gets stunned right before making the elevator, only to watch it take the rest of the group away leaving him to desperately fight for his life all alone in the bowels of Gnomeregan is really something out of a movie.
Stratholme, black guard sentries have a twenty yard range ability called shadow shock. AoE is fine, but they should've all hopped in: a rogue can stunlock one and move out, ferals can go bear and grab one or two under the aoe, and then the tank. Leader was an idiot for confidently telling a mage that had never AoE farmed to solo the worst group of mobs of the instance
As a feral tank I always hurricane while blizzard is being cast and then throw a holy water as I go into bear. Keeps aggro on me until they are all dead and even though they hit hard I can still kite them in circles inside the blizzard slow. Way less dangerous.
The dmg will split is the main thing
I’ve done that AoE stunt many times mage didn’t prebarrier and he didn’t kite. They should’ve explained it better considering it was the mage’s first time there

I assume he thought the tank was just doing a large pull of low level enemies and would stop at some point, and by the time he realized what was happening he was already in combat and it was too late. Very unfortunate

Ya, I was trying to see what he could have done differently, but I think he just got bad rng. In classic you can run through mobs w/o aggroing them and then the guy behind you aggroes them. His chance to dip was probably before the video started.

It’s such a shame not a single macro, not a single installed button. Even when I didn’t know how to do it, I pressed all the necessary skills with the mouse while playing Alterac.
He must have forgotten the rule where everyone needs to be a pro.
2:47 in WoW this is called the *love tap* : when fleeing from a mob and their leash is about to expire, they do one last gentle hit before resetting.

definitely not intentional they were just clueless. maybe they don't take the game serious though. if you run into a pack of mobs like you're braindead you may be committing suicide intentionally, or you may just be looking to spice things up and have fun. I was ninjapulling stuff 24/7 like a braindead noob, the only difference being I had a better idea of what kind of ninjapulls my group/raid could handle and I could get the group/raid out of trouble after getting them into it. for example the warlock could've carried his group here if he was skilled, unless he had no gear whatsoever and wasn't able to do any damage.

Don't sleep on the Troll's Blood potions. Take for example the warrior starting at 1:32. He keeps running till 2:52, or about 80 seconds. If he had a Strong Troll's Blood pot (6 hp per 5), he would've regenerated 96 hp or about 12.5% of his health pool.
I hope we see a clip of that warlock in SM dying later on, holy shit use your Fear ffs
Be careful with that one. If some rando near you pulls a lot of mobs, you are safe from them usually. Unless you are casting heals, which includes trolls blood potion. Then you could get added to their combat.

You sure can agro mobs pulled by others. I done it twice on accident to others. and tried it one on myself as a grief and died. This freking game is weird.
Life regen per 5 doesn't cause any threat, but using a potion does cause some threat if you're in combat with the mob.

That warlock was the most indecisive person I have ever seen. He just stood there for most of it and did not try to clear the adds at all.

10:15 fun fact, you can take your weapons off mid combat. So right before the MC goes off you can disarm yourself so you don't kill your group, this will also prevent you from parrying their attacks like if a rogue gouges you. The paladin also could have BoPed the stunned rogue before the MCed warrior deleted them, the mage could have done any number of CC on the MCed warrior, the hunter could have used conc shot to slow the warrior. No reason the rogue needed to die. In fact the rogue is basically the only one *not* at fault here as they were stunned.

Did they know that hes gonna be MCd, is it announced? Sorry, dont know this boss and the mechanic. If not, its like 3 sec between the MC and the kill, i wouldnt blame anybody that they couldnt react so quickly.
@@mazz205 Yeah, theres a debuff before the MC so people know. The warrior runs away because he knows hes about to get MCd, it just used his interecept CD which stunned the rogue so he couldn't run.

@@mazz205 The boss does a yell and gives the MCed target a debuff that last for like 10sec, then after said debuff the MC happens. That is why you see him run to the wall right before. Also I'm pretty sure the MC happens on a timer that an addon like DBM could track so you know when he is about to debuff, even before he does his yell.

- Curse of reck up during Nef warrior call. That's extra Attack Power to the boss. Could have had that warlock switch it out to agony during that time.
- No thunderclap (unless UI isn't showing it cause too many debuffs)
- Not using shield (has a keybind for it in the top right). Way ahead of non-tanks on threat meter, could afford to do less damage for a little while.
- Not using armor pot
He was also in Berserker Stance when he died. Wirlwind was usable.
@@Kaemonarchthat's because of the warrior call - it switches you to Zerker Stance and makes you unable to switch back for the duration.

Normally I have a "haha, die trash" attitude about AOE farming in Hardcore when I see the clips here but that was honestly wild. Personally, I don't think it's worth the risk if you make one mistake and die. I'd rather just chill and Frostbolt if I am farming. However, that guy was so far from them, so I did not expect that mage to die at all. I actually kinda feel bad in that case.
Yeah I know AoE is faster but jeeesus. Sure is slower when you have to restart
leveling as a mage without aoe farming is just so boring and safe as a mage though(unless you are fire I guess) ppl just prefer the aoe route and if they die then that's that.
You can see the mobs actually cast an ability m their hands glow a dark colour and the damage number is yellow. Wasn't a melee swing

If you are referring to the first clip those mobs have a 20 yard Shadow Shock Ability.
Strath undead never runs out of supply. But asking the mage to solo those skeles - that ranged melee always made that pack nasty...

8:25 People, seriously, unless you are doing some SSF challenge, just freaking buy the highest potions you can use from the AH, they are dirt cheap. And don't bother saving the lower level ones in case they sufice, they will only bring doubt and maybe getting you kill wheny ou think 160 HP was going to be enough only for you to need 200+. That Shaman is using Lv3 potions while fighting Lv24 mobs. So many people using underleveled potions... it hurts me. (Same applies for bandages, in hardcore is worth buying a couple you can use but not craft, that's usually above 2 tiers over what you got).
We are talking SILVER here people, to possibly SAVE your character. If you die at Lv21+ you won't be thinking "I wish I sent 10 extra silver to the bank instead of buying 2 high level healing potions"
💯 Alch is tier 1 profession, especially if you play warlock since healthstone shares cooldown with target dummy.
Constantly stocking up on best available potions is costly, but id you can get the greater protection ones for cheap it could very well save your life. Petris aren’t available till lvl 50

as a mage i saw that mage in the first clip dying within about 3 seconds of watchign the clip. onyl 2.2k hp and no ice barrier. GGWP

Being prot since vanilla, it bothers me to no end that these warriors don't use shields
Fury Prot meta is honestly the one thing I hate most about Classic. I understand that it's "optimal" if used correctly, but most people have not a lick of an idea how to use it correctly and think just standing there and hitting thing hard is their job.
@@CaptainSweatpants90Fury prot with dual wield tanking maximizes threat and damage at the cost of damage taken, putting a lot of pressure on healers. It works best in fully buffed raids, but in hardcore, especially if not everyone in your group is a tryhard, I'd say safety first. And in dungeons full prot makes the run smooth because the healer barely drinks; if everyone's geared up and you just want to zerg the place go for it, but at that point you can do it however you want anyway
@@e.p.s.9037 I know all that. What I meant by "using it correctly" is that even as a DW fury prot, you can be very safe if you know when to switch to your shield, which bosses absolutely positively need an Ironshield Potion, when to use your CDs, etc. etc.
Most people don't care about any of this. They have a shield macro on their bars that they never use, have 3 Ironshield Potions in their bars for appearances, and use Last Stand whenever they drop to 5% health, if they are fast enough. If that's your attitude, then it's a stupid play style. It puts more strain on your healers than is necessary that way.
Damn that rogue in ST got deleted.

Looking over from the RWF to see this is... a contrast.
(1:09) Shields seem so useless with flasks and world buffs. So is defense! Just stack a bunch of stamina! Why would you care about blocking 100-ish damage? Well, if you block a hit, that is one less time the boss can crit or crush you. It is a smaller chance without shield block available, but it is better than nothing.
To be fair, he was at 8k hp, so I don't know what else hit him at that time
It's also 2-3k armor on top. All of these factors individually don't do all that much, but combined they add up to a good 10-20% damage reduction. Which still isn't "unkillable wall", but it can certainly make the difference between barely surviving and taking a long vacation in Elwyn. Absolutely crazy not to use a shield during warrior call.
Curse of Recklessness on the boss, Berserker Stance on the Warrior and no Shield are a hell of a combo.
he got double hit-critted, which is a death most of the time. Shield and LOH could have probably saved him, but thats hindsight.
@@maduk_ I mean... Shield while tanking a boss that hits really hard can hardly be considered hindsight... but everyone wants to do more DPS and for that you need tanks that do more Aggro and for that you gotta drop the shield... XD

That warrior tanking Nef on warrior call.. smh. No cooldowns, no shield, no stoneshield potion. Kinda deserved. Very very sad for him and the guild. Glad they god nef, but such a misplay
Why do so many people run away from mobs but continue to turn around and hit them, resetting the aggro timer? Like do you want to get away or not? Just run and reset, better to waste 1 minute of your time than multiple days of progress.
