Hello, excellent and lucky pick, since I live in San Diego I was able to order off season without any issues. Now there’s a shortage of this unit.
I was baffled on how to get the water wheel to work but I figured it out by trial and error.
The movable water wheel that attaches to the edge is placed opposite of the double geared wheels that is mounted on the rain maker leg.
If facing the water slides the yellow teeter totter(upper center) is first then the upper purple(upper left) water slide. Below is the other purple water wheel(I’ll say lower center). Last is the purple geared waterwheel(lower right).
The purple and yellow movable water wheel will be placed to the left and the upper purple water slide will receive water from the left side of the yellow teeter totter, slide down the left purple slide and cascade to the movable purple and yellow water wheel.
The right side of the yellow teeter totter will pour onto the lower center water wheel then cascade to the purple geared water wheels.
I got tired of pouring water in repetition into the rain maker and the water cascading mechanism. So I got a large used bubble bottle(from Walmart), I placed a pinhole with a scribe in the bottom of the bottle and filled with water and inverted it into the funnel(my granddaughter doesn’t care for the vortex yet). This was ok then I placed a pinhole in the center of the bottle cap and now the water takes it’s time and pours slowly causing the water to cascade in a coordinated time.
I haven’t retrofitted the rainmaker yet but this gives me a little more time to enjoy a beer. I don’t check my cell phone because my granddaughter will not let me, she’s enjoying her pandora sesame place nursery songs.
This concept was not for my granddaughter it was because my arm was getting tired and I don’t have to time to make a 12V pumping system. I thought that out and it’s not affordable now. The daily cleaning and repositioning(to get the bees and wasps from locating a water source during the dry season). The old water is recycled to be used on my plants.
The pro is the daily enjoyment of me seeing my granddaughter have fun away from the tv or computer. Another pro is to water my garden with the old water.
Cleaning is also a pro for me. If not cleaned daily this unit will definitely get to become a mosquito pond.
The con is the constant or daily repositioning of the water table to keep the stinging insects from finding a water source during the dry season. The winter months it rains and the non hibernating insects aren’t looking for an alternative water source.
I’m outside daily working in my yard and with the limited amount of space I have to safely ensure stinging insects have to travel to get my home for water. Thus is just the start of the dry season I hope that all will be ok.

Idk what camera you use but that was the least annoying baby crying I’ve ever heard… you could completely hear ur voice over it and it did very good cancelling it out when you were talking. Amazing.
