I was homeless 16 years old( white girl) in south Africa and the street children in hillbrow looked after me when I got on my feet and went looking for them most had died. This man shows that we as south African people can live together (I knew this back then) but our government divides us. Bless you. Sir 🙏

I'm from Chicago area all ages are homeless it hungry or don't have parents or electricity etc ... I'm the US the money is with the very few. There is an extremely large monetary disparity gap.

@@ramonlgarcia9036 If he's by himself...it's hard when you first start working b/c you have to have at least two paychecks to qualify for any type of childcare assistance. She seems to be under elementary school age as well...so you have to shell out the money for childcare for at least a month before you can qualify for assistance OR find an employer who is fine with you bringing your child to work with you. Hopefully, he has a home b/c most shelters won't take a dad and young girl. Hell, most shelters are women's shelters and won't accept men or take male children once they hit 14...at least near me, that's how they are. It's easy to judge until you have to live that life. If I didn't have a least a little support, I would've been screwed tbh.
I think it's easy to glorify charity as being the best thing. But remember the gift of being in a stable position any not wanting in the first place is greater. Be thankful for Christmas when you do not need gifts.

My uncle was like this except he had nothing and always tried feeding everyone on the street that was hungry or giving friends a couch to sleep on, than he got a check for 15k gave it out to family but everyone left after his money ran out, he passed away and so did my mom who was 43 lbs in a wheelchair but they were the nicest humans ever miss them so much i helped them out

I don't cry often, but this has me in tears. I've been in his spot before, and know that this man is filled with nothing but worry, fear, and sadness. You can see it in his face. I came across a subreddit for homeless people and you will be surprised how many of them work but it is actually not enough to get them off the streets. Also, no place will actually keep them as an employee long term due to them being homeless so they are usually just there temporary. These are people without kids now when you add in a kid things are a lot tougher due to the fact he has no place to drop the kid off while he’s working
@@udhehfhehcuw9169 I guess it’s easier said when you’re on the outside looking in. Many homeless people don’t have family they can turn to in times of need otherwise they wouldn’t be on the streets. A lot of the things we have and think is simple to achieve is a lot harder when you literally have nothing but the clothes on your back. Maybe take a look at the homeless reddit and you would have a better understanding from their point of view. All I’m saying is don’t judge if you don’t know their situation

She seems to be under elementary school age as well...so you have to shell out the money for childcare for at least a month before you can qualify for assistance OR find an employer who is fine with you bringing your child to work with you.
Hopefully, he has a home b/c most shelters won't take a dad and young girl. Hell, most shelters are women's shelters and won't accept men or take male children once they hit 14...at least near me, that's how they are. It's easy to judge until you have to live that life. If I didn't have a least a little support, I would've been screwed tbh.
Probably the best Christmas the father and daughter had in their life. A wonderful gift by a wonderful guy. Loved it.

My uncle was like this except he had nothing and always tried feeding everyone on the street that was hungry or giving friends a couch to sleep on, than he got a check for 15k gave it out to family but everyone left after his money ran out, he passed away and so did my mom who was 43 lbs in a wheelchair but they were the nicest humans ever miss them so much i helped them out

I came across a subreddit for homeless people and you will be surprised how many of them work but it is actually not enough to get them off the streets. Also, no place will actually keep them as an employee long term due to them being homeless so they are usually just there temporary. These are people without kids now when you add in a kid things are a lot tougher due to the fact he has no place to drop the kid off while he’s working

A lot of the things we have and think is simple to achieve is a lot harder when you literally have nothing but the clothes on your back.
