Girl ! I've tried all of these gels except for the collection that's exclusive to Amazon. The gels I absolutely hated were Tropical Moringa (made my hair dry AF, but the definition was insane. Maybe I need to try another leave in?), the Caution gel, and Ancient Egyptian. I wanna see what others see in Tropical Moringa so bad, but I can't. The Crystal Orchid gel flakes on me, but I've never tried it with the 3-in-1 conditioner, so I may give it another whirl one day. Now in terms of my absolute faves, they are Cheers, Fro the Culture, and Exotic Cool Aid. I recently bought Fro the Culture because of your reviews on it and girl .... I loved that wash & go. My hair was shiny, the definitely was beautiful and my W&G lasted all week. I LOVE the gel with the accomplished leave in. This morning I used the POW gel and leave in. So we'll see how I like it.
Baddie BEE with the 3 in 1 leave in underneath the crystal orchid it left a white residue on my hair that I couldn’t get rid of and the gel alone flakes so bad.

That Proceed With Caution Edge Gel is THE ABSOLUTE best on the market! Edges LAID all the way down, sleek, shiny, and is easily reactivated with water. It still blows me away. The only other edge gel that comes close is The Mane Choice 4 Leaf Clover Edge Gel. They've perfected edge gel. Amazing product! This was a great video idea. Loved it as always! 💜

I just experienced this tackiness you described. At first I wasn't too worried, but as I continued through sections I could tell I was finna have a fail. It doesn't feel bad but my hair hates the stickiness
@@rynd9974 yes me too... hate stickiness... advice was to use a towel but i style my hair wet and then air dry so i still find my neck or shoulders getting sticky during the drying process... Heard the 24k ancient gel is the same which is why i havent tried it... Hooked on eco styler for now.. hoping to try their new amazzon gel soon
@@shershg1410 My neck and hands feel fine ironically. Only the hair rejected it 😫. I mean it looks ok but I can just tell it's not the same success as my go to ones. I know she mentioned if it's over moisturized, it went wrong in summer for her. Maybe that's what it is since I used a super hydrating leave in. I may keep it till it's cold to see if there's a difference but more than likely, I'll give it away. I can use kinky kurly and uncle funky all year around. Eco styler always mixes with badly with my hair, no matter which one it is 😭. After this, imma just stay away from mc gels lol. She really liked the amazon one so hope you have better success with that one.

It’s a challenge because the curls like to do their own thing. Good video! I love gelato. These are only three that I love... I was not a fan of the Biotin Gel because even as a high porosity girl, I got flakes every time... So rare for me with any gel.. The gold gel is awesome for twistouts. I also give my gels to my brother when they don’t work for me. I love the Biotin Infused gel Crystal Orchid. I wanted to try the Look both ways gel but I didn’t want the edge control so I never tried it. Just ordered the Tropical Marango and the Bold Buttery gel, I already have the leave in for this one.

currently catching up on some yt videos its been awhile. (congrats on 3k+) 1. bold buttery even though i don't get a lot slip with from the line at all but the end results i always like 2. Crystal orchid w/ crn coconut water leave-in (+taliah wajiid curly curl cream sometimes) never fails 3. braid out glaze- i only use it for mini twist which always look shiny and lush for 2 weeks. Its too heavy for my hair that it sorta tangles it unless i use a lot water but too much water makes it foam. With a wash n go my hair just looks weighed down 4. Cheers gelato just weigh too much i dislike about it. I still want to try Ancient Egyptian, Look Both Ways Hair & Edge Gel

Tropical moringa is my top wng gel from the mane choice. I pair it with honey hand made coconut water leave in and sometimes ufd curly magic. My hair loves it so much, so much moisture and shine. And its not crunchy but defined, also not sticky after drying.

Just found this video and went to look for POW and gelato but can’t find them. Did they discontinue them? 😭 . I’m looking for a gel for slick back ponytails because I just found out that eco styler has formaldehyde in it. this video was really helpful by the way.
the cool laid gel dries my hair out, but it also gives definition. I'll just use the rest of mine for my edges. I haven't used the cheers gelato or the 24k yet, but I have them both, this quarantine doesn't warrant using them, lol...my hair is in braids or twists. I love the do it for the culture gel. my fav along with the tropical moringa which is my fav too, really sticky but my hair looks phenomenal with both the do it for the culture and tropical moringa. its a learning curve with adding water so it can smooth on your hair. worth it though. I never use the paired leave ins with these gels, so I'm sure that will amp the moisture up. but I do use aloe juice as my leave in. loved this content. thanks for sharing your thoughts.
cool laid dried my hair as well! I gave away the 2 jars i had last year and 2 months ago while decluttering i threw out the one that i used and had had left.
caramelized sugar yes. I totally understand that, it may work for their hair tbh. I’ll still try to use mine some how with maybe a puff or something but never for a wash and go. I’m running out of edge gel anyway so🤷🏾♀️...thanks for the comment. I’m not the only one, lol.

My hair has hated every mane choice gel until tropical moringa soooo my order is: Tropical Moringa braid glaze (to me it's pretty sticky but only on application) Amazzon perfectly polished gel POW gel (glitter barely shows in my hair) Cheers gelato (sticky but the hold is real good) Proceed with caution gel ( lol when i first got it i was using the edge gel as hair gel because the label was wrong)
24k gel and cheers have been my go to. Bold buttery gel is at the bottom for me. I may try changing the leave in like I did for tropical morninga. The glycerin may be to high and puffing out my hair. Tfs
I have the majority of these gels but I’ve not yet gotten to them all. I love the crystal orchid gel I find it being a natural alternative to eco for me personally, although I still do buy and have eco. I would love to see ancient Egyptian line as a wash n go for you. I have used the line for a twist out and really liked it. Nice shine and definition.

I am legit drying a washngo with the tropical moringa and breh 🤦🏿♀️. This did not work like my kkc and UFC. I am having to do a lot more work than usual and honestly I think it gave me a headache. I know I need a trim soon but I just had a bomb wash week last week. No point in wasting time trying to make something work when i have 3 stylers that I know will come out at least decent, if not great. I will be giving this away unfortunately.
Baby they aren’t selling anything right now. They clearances the website a couple of weeks ago and aren’t in most retailers. Best thing we can do is use our other faves and wait to see what happens.

How would you describe the scent on the Bold Buttery Gel? Is it a scent that fades after a day or so? I’m a sucker for shiny curls so I am sooo tempted but my partner is pretty scent sensitive especially with really sweet or floral scents 😭
Idk if you remember the strawberry Cream Savers from back in the day, but that’s what it smells like to me. It’s an easy going scent and doesn’t linger once it’s dry.

Then I would say Tropical Moringa, Ancient Egyptian, Biotin, proceed with caution, exotic kool aid, cheers and then Amazon ( I only tried once). I have to revisit them and see if I need to re- rank!
Plenty of people with my hair type enjoy it. Creating a product based in hair type is purely marketing, not based in science. The line has never been specifically marketed to type 4 hair anyway.

The gold gel is awesome for twistouts. I also give my gels to my brother when they don’t work for me. I love the Biotin Infused gel Crystal Orchid. I wanted to try the Look both ways gel but I didn’t want the edge control so I never tried it. Just ordered the Tropical Marango and the Bold Buttery gel, I already have the leave in for this one.

currently catching up on some yt videos its been awhile. (congrats on 3k+)
1. bold buttery even though i don't get a lot slip with from the line at all but the end results i always like
2. Crystal orchid w/ crn coconut water leave-in (+taliah wajiid curly curl cream sometimes) never fails
3. braid out glaze- i only use it for mini twist which always look shiny and lush for 2 weeks. Its too heavy for my hair that it sorta tangles it unless i use a lot water but too much water makes it foam. With a wash n go my hair just looks weighed down
4. Cheers gelato just weigh too much i dislike about it.

Tropical moringa is my top wng gel from the mane choice. I pair it with honey hand made coconut water leave in and sometimes ufd curly magic. My hair loves it so much, so much moisture and shine. And its not crunchy but defined, also not sticky after drying.
#1 is definitely bold buttery gel. Idk why I decided to give the alpha gel a try but omg the CLUMPS & FLAKES. Going to the beauty supply immediately

Just found this video and went to look for POW and gelato but can’t find them. Did they discontinue them? 😭 . I’m looking for a gel for slick back ponytails because I just found out that eco styler has formaldehyde in it. this video was really helpful by the way.
the cool laid gel dries my hair out, but it also gives definition. I'll just use the rest of mine for my edges. I haven't used the cheers gelato or the 24k yet, but I have them both, this quarantine doesn't warrant using them, lol...my hair is in braids or twists. I love the do it for the culture gel. my fav along with the tropical moringa which is my fav too, really sticky but my hair looks phenomenal with both the do it for the culture and tropical moringa. its a learning curve with adding water so it can smooth on your hair. worth it though. I never use the paired leave ins with these gels, so I'm sure that will amp the moisture up. but I do use aloe juice as my leave in. loved this content. thanks for sharing your thoughts.
cool laid dried my hair as well! I gave away the 2 jars i had last year and 2 months ago while decluttering i threw out the one that i used and had had left.
caramelized sugar yes. I totally understand that, it may work for their hair tbh. I’ll still try to use mine some how with maybe a puff or something but never for a wash and go. I’m running out of edge gel anyway so🤷🏾♀️...thanks for the comment. I’m not the only one, lol.

24k gel and cheers have been my go to. Bold buttery gel is at the bottom for me. I may try changing the leave in like I did for tropical morninga. The glycerin may be to high and puffing out my hair. Tfs

I have the majority of these gels but I’ve not yet gotten to them all. I love the crystal orchid gel I find it being a natural alternative to eco for me personally, although I still do buy and have eco. I would love to see ancient Egyptian line as a wash n go for you. I have used the line for a twist out and really liked it. Nice shine and definition.

The Third Eye Angel hey quick question if you had to choose a leave in from TMC to put under the tropical Moringa and the do it for the culture gel what would they be ?
I am legit drying a washngo with the tropical moringa and breh 🤦🏿♀️. This did not work like my kkc and UFC. I am having to do a lot more work than usual and honestly I think it gave me a headache. I know I need a trim soon but I just had a bomb wash week last week. No point in wasting time trying to make something work when i have 3 stylers that I know will come out at least decent, if not great. I will be giving this away unfortunately.

Baby they aren’t selling anything right now. They clearances the website a couple of weeks ago and aren’t in most retailers. Best thing we can do is use our other faves and wait to see what happens.

How would you describe the scent on the Bold Buttery Gel? Is it a scent that fades after a day or so? I’m a sucker for shiny curls so I am sooo tempted but my partner is pretty scent sensitive especially with really sweet or floral scents 😭
Idk if you remember the strawberry Cream Savers from back in the day, but that’s what it smells like to me. It’s an easy going scent and doesn’t linger once it’s dry.

Enjoyed this video! I have all of the gels except the POW one! But now I want to try it. I have to agree that the Buttery Gel is amazing! Then I would say Tropical Moringa, Ancient Egyptian, Biotin, proceed with caution, exotic kool aid, cheers and then Amazon ( I only tried once). I have to revisit them and see if I need to re- rank!

The 24K karat is for 4C hair types. You have more of a 4A hair type
Plenty of people with my hair type enjoy it. Creating a product based in hair type is purely marketing, not based in science. The line has never been specifically marketed to type 4 hair anyway.
