  • Sting's retirement match at AEW Revolution sparked an Eric Bischoff interview. Bischoff discusses the transformation of Crow Sting, masterminded by Scott Hall, and his run with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) ahead of his All Elite Wrestling finale. Sting famously battled the New World Order (NWO) involving Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan as well.

He’s in the WWE HOF and he never even wrestled for that company. That’s how big a legend Sting is. But yeah. If AEW creates a HOF, Sting should be the wrestler that the first class is based around.

@@JustaGuy-dg3nnyou're absolutely wrong. Scott Hall and Sting both said that the conversation of a character change came up and Scott told him to paint his face like Brandon Lee did.
In fact, Sting was going in the direction of painting his face the exact same, but Turner television told him they had to go in another direction, so the look was tweaked up some. Voula, Crow Sting was born

I'm not sure why some people look at age as unpleasant. My last couple of years in the Army as a senior leader, I was proud to have had more years in than my youngest soldiers had been alive. There's a lot of experience and knowledge you can share with people. I was in 22 years, and my youngest soldiers were 19.

Back in 1990, my college roommate was huge into wrestling and got me interested. He'd always talk about Sting & Flair. We'd play around fake wrestling. Later on, after college, when I was out on my own, and missing my buddy, I started watching. I remembered the name Sting and focused on him. This was around when the Crow character was invented. Just fell in love with it. Started watching religiously. Stopped after the acquisition and how poorly Sting was treated.

With all due respect, JR is just as responsible for helping bring stinger's career blossom. He was actually calling Sting in UWF. Then with the Crockett acquisition, they were apart of that fold. Tony was with him for a longer period of time, but you have to ne fair to include JR as well.

Totally! This was part of a bigger feature explaining and celebrating Sting's career. Eric was brought in specifically to talk about Crow Sting. There are also interviews on this channel with Tony Schiavone about Surfer Sting and Jim Crockett Promotions, Jeff Jarrett for the TNA run and Darby Allin for AEW. I was hoping to get JR but, unfortunately, it was hard to get in touch with his recent health.

Easy E aka "ATM Eric" Bischoff !; not Eazy E (the late rapper from the NWA 1990's "gangsta rap" group or the Ruthless Records CEO). in TNA (Impact Wrestling/total non-stop action), for a brief moment, he was "Joker Sting" (Jared Leto, Jack Nicholson, the late Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix). Yes, Bischoff was correct; the "Crow" film was played by the late Brandon Lee (as "Eric Draven"). there was a okay feud between the Stinger vs. Vampiro, in WCW (NWA) / nWo. in the WWE/WWF, the ultimate Dream Match would have been the Stinger vs. (the Under)Taker, the Deadman... It has come full circle for Sting, being in Greensboro, NC, with guys like great "The Nature Boy," Ric Flair (WOOOO !; in the ring "physicality" and his heel personality (mainly with the promo work, on the mic/stick), as a part of the great "4 Horsemen" stable) and a veteran pro wrestling personality, Tony Schiavone. In ECW, the equivalent of "Surfer" Sting would have been Hardcore Hak ("the Sandman"). One person that constantly reinvents himself has to be the "Best in the World (like a C.M. Punk)," or the "Lionheart," Chris Jericho (with his fat "(Bill) Goldberg"-like security guard: a toothless shmuck, some toothless truck driver named Ralphus (John Riker).) RIP to Scott Hall (Razor Ramon, the Diamond Studd), Virgil (nWo; "The Million Dollar Man," Ted Dibiase's "buddy") and Ole Anderson (the 4 Horsemen; Minnesota Wrecking Crew).
