The National Mango Board’s Animal Tests Are Rotten to the Core

- The National Mango Board has funded cruel and deadly experiments on animals in attempts to boost mango sales to consumers. These tests, which aren’t required by law, could have used human studies and other advanced, non-animal methods to yield superior, human-relevant results. Force-feeding, killing, and slicing open animals in laboratories won’t teach us anything about human health. If that weren’t enough, the money used by the board to pay for these experiments on animals comes from mandatory assessment fees that the U.S. Department of Agriculture forces farmers to pay-essentially imposing a draconian “tax” on already struggling farming communities.
Please take action by urging the National Mango Board to adopt a policy against conducting, funding, or commissioning any experiments on animals at PETA.org/Mango.

sick world where not even store bought fruit is vegan.. Citrus fruits, mango and pineapple is waxed with crushed bugs and bees wax. Yuck.

Sometimes Animals are required for medical research. This is how science progresses. Everything is not cruel.

Animal testing is often a highly ineffective, easily improved upon method, if you actually look into it. And even if animal testing is sometimes deemed "necessary," the experiments and "research" performed on them is still cruel.
Why test mangoes? We've already tasted them.
