Suzuki's are harder to find but never disappoint. Been tooling around the neighborhood on my stock 1983 GS750ED. Something cool about having something a little different.
Had the pleasure of storing one of these bored to I believe 1077cc with crank and clutch all welded ,ported and maxibore carbs magnesium rims. Bike was ludicrous, it would wheelie clicking off 4th gear at 130 mph. Never topped out on bike but got it to about 150-160 in 4th never topped 5th gear. My buddy offered to sell it to me for a very cheap price but I refused cause every time I rode it I had to hide it incase the cops came. That bike was trouble 😳
I'm a fan but the split in the seat means the seat needs to be re-apolstered. I bought an unmolested virgin 1979 GS1000L 11 years ago. The seat looked good but as I rode it the vinyl cracked to little pieces. Re-apolstered seat and my baby is good as new!
had 2 buddies one had this bike the other one had a kz 1000 both had kerkers n cams theyd race each other all the time n trade wins pretty even bikes for lead sleds back in the day fast bikes
Kaplan Cycles I am the original owner of a 1979 GS 1000E with 12,0000 original miles. The bike has not been started in 10 years. If you are interested I am considering parting with it.

I once owned the 1978 version of this bike, the GS1000c. Only difference I can spot is the chrome on airbox.
