Cyprus Transforms into a Dragoness in the Album/Project 'Kyprogenia', Calling for Purification in a World Full of Corruption, War, and Conflict. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion and the Chinese Year of the Dragon, this symbolic transformation invokes the strength, power, wisdom, and nobility of the dragon, urging the world to respect the Earth and embrace the opportunity for change.
Δράτζ̌αινα (english translation follows)
Αχ! Να ’σουν δράτζ̌αινα τρανή, δρακούνα αρκωμένη
να τρέμουσιν αντάν φανείς της γης οι κολασμένοι.
Έρκουνται τζ̌αι ρημάσσουν σε, ποθούν την ομορκιάν σου,
για τούν την θέσην που κρατείς δαρκώννουν την θωρκάν σου.
Σκλάβα ασκλάβωτη, θαρρώ, εννά ’σ’ εσού για πάντα,
σε ξένα σ̌έρκα, απόσπαστη, να μέν σου δκιουν αμάνταν.
Έναν κουτσ̌ίν, κυνόστομον, που ’προίτζ̌ισεν η φύση
ζηλεύκει το η Ανατολή, ζηλεύκει το τζ̌’ η Δύση.
Αχ! Να ’χαν τα βουνά φωνήν τζ̌’ οι θάλασσες τζ̌’ οι τόποι,
φωνήν να βάλουν ν’ ακουστεί σ’ Ανατολήν τζ̌’ Ευρώπην,
να ’μολοήσουν τα δεινά τζ̌αι τα παράπονα τους-
μες στους ανέμους τους κακούς πως δέρνεται η καρκιά τους.
Μα μες στην τύχην την στραβήν που ’φέραν οι οχτροί σου
άπλωσες ρίζες τζ̌αι κλωνιά τζ̌’ αννοίξαν οι αθθοί σου
τζ̌’ έτρεξεν μες στην προσφυγιάν την μαύρην το νερόν σου,
εσύβρασεν ο ήλιος σου τζ̌’ άθθισεν το δεντρόν σου.
Μα ’πε μου εσού δεντρόν τωρά, δεντρόν, τζ̌είν’ τους καρπούς σου
με πκοιους να τους δκιαμοιραστείς, με ξένους ή δικούς σου;
Στην μιαν μερκάν η Ανατολή, στην άλλην η Ευρώπη
τζ̌’ οι ρίζες σου μοιράζουνται σαν να ’ναι δκυο οι τόποι.
Αχ! Να ’σουν δράτζ̌αινα τρανή, δρακούνα αρκωμένη
’εν θ’ άφηννες κάθε λοής να μπαιννοβκαίννουν ξένοι.
Τζ̌’ όσοι περνούν τζ̌αι τζ̌υβερνούν τζ̌’ ορίζουσιν την γην σου
να τρέμουν μόλις σε γροικούν τζ̌αι ξένοι τζ̌αι δικοί σου.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Dratzaina (Dragoness)
Ah! If you were a fierce dragoness, an enraged dragoness,
to make them tremble at your sight, the damned of the Earth!
They come and ravage you, they lust for your beauty,
Due to your location your eyes well up.
A slave, enslaved you shall remain eternally, I dare say,
in foreign hands, unliberated, them not giving you any rest.
A span of land, gifted by Nature
Envied by the East, envied by the West too,
Oh! If the mountains had a voice and the seas and places too,
A voice to be heard in the East as well as in Europe,
to confess their passions and their grievances-
in the vicious winds their heart is windswept.
Yet amidst the bad luck brought by your enemies
You spread out roots and branches and your flowers blossomed
and water ran in the miserable places refugees fled to
your sun shined gently and your tree flowered.
But tell me now, you tree, those fruits of yours
Who should you share them with, foreigners or locals?
On one side the East, on the other Europe
and your roots split as if there were two lands.
Oh! If you were a fierce dragoness, an enraged dragoness,
you would not let all sorts of foreigners trespass your land.
And whoever passes and rules and masters your land
would tremble upon hearing you, be they foreigners or locals.
Oh! If you were a fierce dragoness an enraged female dragon,
