Hej Jen. I live i Denmark and i am always smiling when you use your danish dough whisk because I have never seen a danish dough whisk i Denmark. 😅😅
We just did that this weekend and yesterday bc we had super cold weather over the weekend, so we decided to stay in. We took inventory of the freezers and realized we had sooooo much food. We ended up making a shrimp cauliflower potato chowder with Brazilian cheese bread, a taco bake, egg tacos, parmesan crusted chicken and pulled pork sandwiches with boxes Mac n cheese and baked beans. It's working out really well. We will make some other chicken this week too. And we still have leftovers that we are working on.
Uncle Roger says everyone needs a rice cooker but I agree with you- the Instant Pot does such a great job. 😂😂
I think the microwave works better for me cooking rice. I haven’t had any luck in the instant pot.
I replaced the rice cooker AND the slow cooker and the yogurt maker with my instapot. Made SO much more room in my kitchen, and now I reach for 1 thing instead of 4. Smart!! And my jasmine rice comes out perfectly every time. Can’t tell the difference between it and my rice cooker. TFS.
When I was little, my Tia lived in northern Illinois. I remember going to visit and going to Bishop’s!

Bishop’s was in Cedar Rapids, and their chocolate pie was my mom’s favorite. I’m a new subscriber having been referred here by Frugal Fit Mom. I grew up in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Jefferson High School. Then I was also a graduate of the University of Iowa. My church’s summer camp was Spring Valley Bible Camp which was pretty close to Muscatine.

Love leftover salmon! I eat it on a bagel thin for breakfast with cream cheese. And I usually use the smoked salmon cream cheese! I know that's alot but, I love it.

Not anymore 😢, but you can buy a similar ambrosia silk pie like Bishops at some Hyvees. Doesn’t taste exactly the same still good.

Jen, have you tried the McCormick all purpose Seasoning, it’s garlic, herbs, sea salt and pepper. This is so good.

Applebee's tequila lime chicken is now the Fiesta Lime Chicken! It's still my favorite and I get it almost every time we.
If I'm making rice, I always make a big batche in the IP. It freezes beautifully. I just put some in quart sized bags ans store in the freezer for lazy days. The Tasty Bite Entrees like Madras Lentils (Costco sells them in 6 or 8 packs) plus a bag of frozen rice can be microwaved and ready to eat in under 5 minutes. Good protein, fast and easy -- can't beat it!
I’m going to try a version of that feta salad. I have a brick to use up. I’ve been on a soup kick so will probably do a potato soup if some sort since I have all of those ingredients as well.

My typical weekly prep consists of boiled eggs, egg bites and air fried chicken tenders . I also like to do keto overnight oats using chia seeds . Food prep definitely helps w what to eat on a daily bases ..plus it keeps you on track if you are following a particular lifestyle / diet

I just bought a dozen eggs for $3.99 and Boneless chicken breast at $1.99 per #lb. Stack up when I see this prices at my local Price Rite store. Italian sausage links are $3.99 a pack .

$7.67 for 18 count of Great Value brand eggs here in Minnesota. & $4.97 for a dozen organic brown eggs. & $15.28 for 36 eggs. Luckily I don't like eggs lol
