A wise dancer once said ''Fear the man who wears two layers of outdoor clothes, and a hat, in a room packed with dancers while going into a dance battle in the summer and never take of a single piece.'' Oddly specific but I see now that he was indeed correct.

Rochka went hard the first round but seemed very tired and Batalla as usual,cool and calm killer of the music.
Rochka's concept of weapons was so fucking dope in the first round. So damn creative and well executed

While the other guy is more chill and laid back, I like Rochka better because his every single move is sharp and popping.

Rochka murdered that Joyner beat, but yeah Batalla took the next two rounds easy Most people will say that its unfair cuz Rochka had to climb to battle a fresh Batalla, but energy maintenance is part of the game, just ask Alex and Joseph Go
The battles before for Rochka where to complicated, he spend a lot of energy in the vs paradox
Let's be honest, it's an unfair battle If one has less energy or at least spent the main energy he needs to be as creative as he would like to.
It's like making a "runner vs runner" and one runner had 3 runs before...
ns don't forget those runs before were not easy
@@heni63 doesn't work when every contestant and even the judge when they were contestant years prior, went trought the same process and managed to plummel their way trought it. Rochka just din't. There's really nothing more than that.
@@TenshiNoAme if taking the whole system your right, because the system let's you often only be good if you can do more battles etc. But if you only look at one battle between two persons you can not really say "he is worse or better". A system between just two persons would be "get all energy, sleep good, warm up as long as you need and then have only as many battles as you can"...like sprinters are trying their best to come as in good shape as possible to a sprint contest.
So a battle is not really "fight between those two" like many people think. It involves so much more but In general it's a fair battle as long as noone is Ill, is focused and has energy and less negative Stress. Being Ill is one of the hardest to control yourself, the rest are variables in the system "battle" that you have to improve.
Rochka was tired because he made it to the SF and after that he battled Batalla for the judge battle , it's not easy , but also he made a good effort even he was exhausted .

Well first theres the preselections, judges choose 24 dancers. Then theres 1st round battles, 2nd round and 3rd round. After the 3rd round, the 3 dancers remaining have to choose a judge to battle. Then for the semifinal, one of the 3 remaining dancers from the judge battle, picks one dancer that got as far as 2nd round (alex choose gonzy). 1 round for 1st and 2nd rounds, 2 rounds for 3rd rounds, and 3 rounds for the other battles. At the judge battle, the dancers get ask if they think they won or loose, if they both say they win, the two other judges vote. For semifinal and final, only the crowd can vote.

Watching Batalla last year, I was like "the fuck with him, he ain't that good..."
But this year, oh god. Whole body control, nearly no breaks and so fluid in his movements.
Rochka killed it anyway but gave it all in the previous battles.
Batalla didn't change.
Its your understanding of dancing that have evolved. Its really a good thing. Suggest you to re-watch old battle, you may surprise yourself by your new found appreciation of dancer you tought were straight up bad in the past

What, so i dont see the judge make decision because Rochka told "I loose" ?
In this part of the event, the dancers themselves either decide if they win or lose, or in some cases they let the crowd decide by screaming.

_I'm crazy about dance, but I'm still learning a whole lot. I didn't know this event was going on until this morning, but when I saw the notification I just had to see it. I've never seen Batalla before, I mostly came for Rochka because he's one of my absolute favorites._
_I could tell right off the bat that something was off. Considering how long this round was, it was probably the finals or something close to it. Rochka's energy was great, but his performance wasn't as coherent as it usually is. I'll be rewatching this later, but in my honest opinion, Batalla had a much smoother and cleaner flow. You could easily interpret the music through his movements, while Rochka was putting a little too much into it- his interpretation for the most part was lost in all of his adrenaline._
_It was a bit sad to see, because I know he can do so much better, but after going through the comments it seems that he's already done a great deal here- he was obviously worn out. It takes a lot of humility to admit your loss, and I respect him a lot for it._
_On the other hand, I can't wait to see his previous rounds. I'm most especially looking forward to his battle with Paradox~_

Yea, had Rochka not been gassed i think he woulda won. He wasn't his usual acrobatic self. Batalla is dope, but i think he woulda lost to a fresh(er) Rochka IMO.
If you're tired after 4 rounds then what are you doing there? He didn't even win vs. Paradox. His boys hyped him up too much
@@SoulReaper66623 different styles have different demands on your body. Batalla can probably do 100 rounds with his style. Rochka is an insane athlete too, but his style is just not that maintainable in terms of stamina. Similar to how a bboy runs out of stamina fairly quickly in general.
And personally, he totally got that Paradox battle. He literally went all out and felt the music on a different level. Paradox was definitely more technical, but a bit too calculated(probably due to injury?) and felt the music less. I think a healthy Paradox would be a different story.
I can't wait for the next SDF though!
@@ridhaacupido534 It's just an excuse. It's not stamina. Go watch Rochka at other events, he goes 8+ rounds and does well in all of them. SDF is just different level. Ghetto Dance Ventspils 2016 - about 8 rounds from him? And he didn't get tired.
@@SoulReaper66623 It might very well be an excuse. Or maybe he was also in pain from a move gone wrong in some previous round. Something was off. No use speculating though: He lost this fair and square, and I don't agree with the "what if" scenario.

New eyes in 2022 - Rochka and Batalla to me was 50/50 butRochka was too tired. I loved his first round and second but he lost it for the third. Ended 55/45
