    Thank you so much for this video. I need to wear my SDB's tomorrow night for the staff walk on at the football game, and I was never taught how to rig my SDB's.

      I would also recommend going and asking for a cadet field and drill manual and looking over that for a couple of days. The cadet manual has about everything a cadet would need to know in it. Also thank you very much for watching my video. I am extremely happy I can help out cadets.

    In mcjrotc and looking to join the navy after high school, just checking out the other branches uniforms just to say your guys uniforms are pretty spiffy and your service uniform the NSU looks very similar to our Service Charlies

    How did you get the gold thing around your basic leadership training ribbon?

    • @tylerphillips5456

      It was a special thing our instructors did for cadets who's platoons got honor platoon in BLT. It's not a official attachment but many cadets in my area have been given it.

    It's weird for me to see ribbons, medals, and no arches. My unit has arches

    If my uniforms pocket is crooked, how would i align the ribbon bar?

    • @tylerphillips5456
      @tylerphillips5456  3 года назад +1

      To the pocket still.

      For service dress blues, ribbons are worn 1/4 inch above the coat pocket parallel to the deck not the pocket itself

      As far as I know the only difference between the two is the amount of buttons on the jacket, but if youre unsure about it just double check by looking in the orange cadet drill and field manual. Everything about cadet uniforms is in that manual.

    • @tylerphillips5456
      @tylerphillips5456  3 года назад +2

      U should join your freshman year of high school preferably. But u will always start as a seaman recruit if NJROTC

      @@tylerphillips5456 so what's the point of NJROTC?

    • @tylerphillips5456
      @tylerphillips5456  3 года назад +2

      To instill leadership values into students.

      @@tylerphillips5456 so it makes you prepared to be an officer?

    • @tylerphillips5456
      @tylerphillips5456  3 года назад +3

      No, that's what college NROTC is for. NJROTC in high school is more for building the base leadership principles to be successful in any field. Yes, it can be a good way to get interested in the military but it definitely doesn't not prepare students to be officers.

    Why do Americans have so many medals and ribbons? In Europe even most generals barely have the amount of decorations that US soldiers/cadets have lol.

      This is a civilian organization not military specifically a high school organization. US military personnel don't usually get many commendations or awards, unless at war.
