Wonder Woman Spin Transformation and Jump

This clip is taken from the first-season episode entitled "Beauty on Parade." Diana Prince goes undercover as a contestant in a beauty contest in order to foil an assassination attempt. This episode introduces what would become the definitive version of the transformation spin: Diana spins, there is an explosion of light, and Wonder Woman appears. In the pilot movie and episodes 1 and 2, Diana would do a slow-motion strip tease to turn into Wonder Woman. Although it was well received and cool to watch, at the time (1975-76) it proved way too expensive to do on a regular basis, so the cheaper option (the exploding ball of light) was used instead. I remember seeing this episode as a kid and immediately thinking, "Wait a minute...that was different! Why did they change it?"
