The Macallan Scotch Whiskey Distillery House Cake

- This cake is a replica of the original Macallan house which is featured in their logo. I placed the logo on the drive way of the estate made in royal icing and gold highlighter.
"Built in 1700 out of locally quarried sandstone for Captain John Grant, it’s a beautiful, Scottish styled home, with crow stepped gables and a turret. There is a reason this house appears on every bottle." - Daily Beast
The cake was made with a rich chocolate cake, a generous dose of The Macallan 18, tart raspberry coulis, tart raspberry Swiss meringue buttercream and dark semi sweet chocolate ganache. A decedent not too sweet combination perfect for enjoying with a glass of Macallan Whiskey.

Wow what incredible detail! Fabulous 👏👏👏
Beautiful! I'm in awe!
This is all kinds of incredible!! The detail on the roof line is just insane. And from the past I hear every humble gingerbread house I’ve made whimpering in embarrassment.
Thank you! Gingerbread houses are totally different medium tho, I bet they were amazing!
Amazing. Keep up the wonderful work. Thanks for sharing. Learnt a lot in how to do the details.

Good job
I have to make a Cake of a church coming up next week and I’d like to make it on this size scale. What was the measurements of the cake slabs you used where you cut the shape of the roof?
How are you sticking all the fondant to the cake? Are you using edible glue? Love it btw!
I miss you
Wow i can't believe what i saw
Unbelievable! My sister and I are going to attempt to replicate my fathers lake house log cabin he built and recently sold for his 90th birthday. How do you do the letters, especially those small ones, on the circle in front of the house?
It's very inpressive
Please can u tell me what I need
👍👍👍
Amazing ! Is foam core food safe ?
Thanks Gemma! I believe so, it's just paper on the outside. if you are worried about it you can always wrap it in cling film.
Amazing cake😊I'm making one similar myself just wondering is that chocolate or ganache that you cover it with before fondant?does it make it more stable?first time attempting something like this..could do with some tips😊
Thanks Shell! It is dark chocolate ganache. Yes you definitely want to cover your cake in either ganache or buttercream before fondant. I like ganache because it gets much stiffer and makes smoothing your fondant easier. Good luck with the cake!
