Not only is this a month old, but this video is a total lie. Gunn very clearly says they're writing The Batman Part II and NOT Brave and the Bold. What impresses me the some people do not beliving in James Gunn, Andy Muschietti, Matt Reeves... anyone. Like: all the "authorities" on Batman in this universe are talking about whats happening, their declarations are all aligned, but ppl don't belive. And i think this is happening cuz they don't know how film industry works and are too familiarized with MCU business model that think evey studio and franchise works in that sense. But you don't see Fast and Furious, James Bond and other tons of franchises and series working like that. MCU focus more on the hype tham the actual product for years, but back in 2008 we didn't had a lot of movies poping or timelines. They didn't even had a plan before Avengers 1. They sneaked the Thanos scene after the movie was complete to see whats gonna happen. It worked. But wasn't a fixed plan. James Gunn worked with Marvel and saw how this shit can crumble if you keep feeding fans with information but constantly changing things and, worst, put too much content with too lack of quality. As a film geek and a pop culture fan, i recognize more MCU movies aren't that good. They sure are fun. But really great movies are few. I'm not saying all DC movies gonna be perfect or better. I'm saying not spreading unconfirmed information and greenlight or even announce movies BEFORE greenlit or even before you even have a script is a GOOD thing. We ne need to rescue the good quality standad of Cinema so movies like Guadians of Galaxy (wich are great) don't feel like Godfather for some people because of how weak is the baseline. And if James Gunn is able to attract people like Mike Flannagan, David Leitch and Damon LIndelof without even ask for it, we already wining cuz a lot of terrific directors don't even want to work with Marvel because of their business model and their approach to Cinema.
Armin's hypocrisy blows my mind at times. If Snyder had said The Flash was amazing, Armin would call him a suck up, but when Gunn does it, he is fine with it.
