Lloyd Norwood I disagree with you. You have to consider first that the reason black folks are at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder is because whites people put them there to begin with. There isn’t a lack of black people giving black people opportunity - most of the worlds CEOs are white.
kikokazuma The socioeconomic ladder can be climbed...if you choose to climb it and no, globally most CEOs are not white, the world itself is actually mostly non-white. You’ll probably dispute this which is fine, off rip imma tell you we’ll never come to any type of agreement so no point in arguing over it.
LéReal.TV unfortunately the socioeconomic ladder can’t be climbed as easily as a real life ladder. All ways in which white America has oppressed people of color. All facts.
LéReal.TV actually, I can blame the white man. Again - Slavery. Jim Crow. Convict leasing. Redlining. These things only ended a little over 50 years ago. That’s not “mad long” bro. You’re gonna sit here and say blacks can bridge an 18 to 1 wealth gap in 50 years? Oh, and not to mention that blacks are given longer prison sentences than whites for FIRST time offenses. How is that not evidence of systemic oppression still existing to this day? It’s a shame you make an invalid argument and close yourself off like that - it means you’re not open to change and educating yourself.
kikokazuma nah I just don’t care to go back and forth with folk online, it’s not lucrative HOWEVER since you actually seem up for discussion I’ll stick around. Sorry but I’ll never see Slavery as a valid argument, it’s been over for over 200 years. Jim Crow is much more valid given those laws have been done away with for just 53 years however even that isn’t a good argument to me considering the vast amounts of non-racist white Americans and lawmakers in our current times (again prolly something you’ll dispute), the fact that a mostly white country elected a black president TWICE, and the current social climate which contrary to what folk online claim is actually chill and non-racist. When all that’s taken into consideration along with whites who stood with blacks during the 60s AND the whites who helped out with the Abolitionist movement you kinda have to wonder how many actual white racists there ever were. Idk about you but probability wise I find it hard to believe even most were racist also it’s no secret white folk siding with black folk would have been run out of town or killed so they were forced to remain silent and “maintain the status quo” so to speak. I had to google convict leasing, never heard of it so thanks for expanding my knowledge. That ended in 1941, 77 years ago and that IS a mad long time ago lol if you don’t think otherwise it’s all good by me. Now before I move on to Redlining I have to say these things: there are no white people in the US over 200 years old so you can’t blame current day whites for slavery (and given that whites helped end it you have even less of a leg to stand on), a current day 53 year old white person was born literally the year Jim Crow ended so you definitely can’t blame them and what I said also accounts for current day 77 year old whites, they’d have been infants when convict leasing was done away with. With that being said you have even less justification in blaming white people younger than 77 & 53 and I’m very sure the white population isn’t mostly over 77. On to Redlining: you got me there bruh and I see you on that fully, I was reading about how that bs was done back in the 70s in The Bronx (if I remember right) by Democrats, even the president at the time (Nixon) co-signed it, that ish ain’t sit well with me at all. If what I’m seeing is correct redlining was dealt with in 1977, just 30 some-odd years ago so I’ll give you that one...partially because while there are many predominately black neighborhoods not all black folk live in them which means not all black would or would have been effected by redlining. I have to add this on though: redlining began in 1934 which was 84 years ago and while there definitely are 84 year old whites in America I can’t say they can shoulder any blame for it unless they were lawmakers during that year who participated in passing the National Housing Act of 1934. Idk anything about an 18 to 1 wealth gap but I do know the region of NC I live in is comparatively poor to other regions and it’s mostly white folk here so the “wealthy white people” talk doesn’t really resonate with me. Feel free to provide me with all information you can find on the subject though, I’m actually not closed off in any way to “educating myself” like you think lol. I haven’t heard of black people being given longer time on first offenses so drop info on that too. I do know the black prison population has decreased over the past decade or so though, I wanna say there’s only a difference between it and the white prison pop. of around 10,000 inmates??? Feel free to look that up to get a more proper number. The vast majority of black folk aren’t going to prison so to use such a thing as evidence of systemic oppression doesn’t make sense to me, if anything redlining would be indicative of that but it’s illegal now if I’m not mistaken so 🤷🏾♂️
Omg!!! Ok I have always loved Nick's work but, I am now a Nick fan!!! I love the fact that he can hold a VERY stimulating conversation. I could listened to this man talk all day 😘😊
The end of the day Kilmonger: bury with in the ocean with my ancestors that knew death was better than bondage. Kanye: slavery was a choice. It's hypocritical to agree with one and disagree with the other when Kilmonger is saying there's a choice: slavery or death. Edit: I didn't make it clear but I don't agree with either message and have criticized both in the past. My point is: some of the same people that are upset with Kanye's words prasied a fictional character for relaying, quite literally, the same message. So yeah, that's hypocritical.
If you're great great grandmother and father would have taken that advice. you wouldn't even be here to post that nonsense. Sometimes I think we are truly lost.
I'm sorry I didn't make it clear but I don't agree with either of their perspectives. I criticized both messages when they came out. My point is: some of the same people that are crucifying Kanye praised a fictional character for saying, quite literally, the exact same thing. And first guy, let's not get into semantics. Slaves could've killed themselves other ways than jumping off the boat.
MrThuglife404 and no need for harsh language. The irony of someone that couldn't fully comprehend clearly written ideas calling someone else a dumbass is astounding. Not once did I say I agree with either sentiment. My point was to point out hypocrisy.
Nick holds Kanye accountable for his actions and he tries to understand him from a deeper level. He doesn’t blame the Kardashians for his behavior. That is rare. I respect that
Nahh man They didn't twist his words, it's not like the full clip isn't online. It's simply like Nick said, we were all getting what he was saying and were on track with him and in a second he said something stupid... again. He's a genius at his line of work but he's human and his genius doesn't work in other areas. It's like trump, if trump had said that the media would flip...so it fair to criticize Kanye for saying it.

Yeezus is not narcissistic, it is translated to "ye iz us" which he said himself. Kanye operates at a higher frequency so it's not that he isn't intelligent enough to articulate it, it is that most are to linear for his wave path... Kanye has done more good then harm in his time with 21 Grammy's (music), Billion dollar fashion company (valued), designed for famed fashion houses (rappers desgning at famed fashion houses??), his protege was Virgil Abloh (head of LV design house and first Black to have that title, creates architecture and furniture and isn't slowing down any time soon. " My greatest award is what I'm about to do. I'm always thinking about the future.". *~Kanye West*

The vast majority of black folk aren’t going to prison so to use such a thing as evidence of systemic oppression doesn’t make sense to me, if anything redlining would be indicative of that but it’s illegal now if I’m not mistaken so 🤷🏾♂️
Nick cannon needs a radio show 💜 I have a new found respect for him 😄
He got a podcast
Nick quit his radio show in ny city becouse he was hospitalized for exhaustion.
His pod cast is dope!
You a lie. He said 400 years he wasn’t talking about the slaves of the past, He was talking about the slaves of today.

Big Facts
Exactly! Slavery was for 245 years... it was a choice for 155 years, hints the 400 years of slavery "sounds like a choice" is what he said.
All these entertainers ARE SLAVES, nobody is forced to choose that life, they decide to make that choice for themselves.
Omg!!! Ok I have always loved Nick's work but, I am now a Nick fan!!! I love the fact that he can hold a VERY stimulating conversation. I could listened to this man talk all day 😘😊
The end of the day
Kilmonger: bury with in the ocean with my ancestors that knew death was better than bondage.
Kanye: slavery was a choice.
It's hypocritical to agree with one and disagree with the other when Kilmonger is saying there's a choice: slavery or death.
Edit:
I didn't make it clear but I don't agree with either message and have criticized both in the past.
Mike S yea Kanye is a very confused individual lol the transatlantic slave trade lasted for approximately 300 years so he's off by a whole century.
Mike S and as far as slavery goes in the United States proper it only lasted from 1776-1865, which is less than 100 years.
Nick Canon is talking about the Satanic industry indirectly
i like how he left out the ritualistic and hazing parts out of it
I think he knows it now ...
I'm glad someone felt how I did about the Ye TMZ thing.
They are the devil
He just changed my whole perspective on Kanye. Nick is smart I appreciate this man
Nick Cannon looks like Colin Kaepernick in the thumbnail
Nick holds Kanye accountable for his actions and he tries to understand him from a deeper level. He doesn’t blame the Kardashians for his behavior. That is rare. I respect that
Nick is definitely on point with the slavery part. I know people twisted Kanye's words, but Nick gave it a better explanation.
Unfortunately he's wrong. Kanye knew what was saying n I think he's great communicator. If he wasn't we wouldn't be talking about what he said.
I'm surprised, this was one of the best interviews I've seen lately! Nick answers the questions asked, his answers make sense and he's so real!
I'm glad you explained the Kanye thing, it makes sense... you're a good communicator 😉😄
Great Interview! He was so on point in assessing Kanye West!
Every time i watch Nick, i just can't help, but smile! I really hope one day i can meet him and give him a hug.
A GREAT COMMUNICATOR, a great communicator!
Nick Cannon, Darmian Marley, Romeo Miller listening to these guys almost daily .Loving their wisdom
I was low key excited for this interview because nick is so much more genuine than many other high profile celebrities, who would've just tried to be politically correct with their words and try to not cause any consequences
I can confirm. This is definitely true. I heard it back in the days
This dude should be Kanye spokeperson
These are some of best interviews this channel has ever seen.
I’m glad nick explains soul selling lmaooo too many people thinking some horned demon is walking around giving celebrities jewels lol
wow nick this the best interview i heard in a while
Nick speaking facts.
Ok... He hit me hard with that translation at about that 5 minute mark. Total aha moment for me. Thanks for some real unfiltered conversations. This is how we understand each other and learn.
HE’S SO RIGHT!!! BUT HES GIVING KANYE WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT
Why shit on the dude THAMON. ?! Ain't none of them niggas boys! They not in prison THAMON!!!?? You thought Nick was play pimpin!
I absolutely adore and respect for Nick Cannon. I find him an amazing man, very thoughtful, and extremely genuine. I will rock with Nick Cannon all day long. Nothing but love for Nick Cannon. #TEAMNICKCANNON
Hint: your girl ask about a specific person to be around that she suppose to have never met watch her next move🤐
Dropping gems! As usual 🙌🏽✊🏽
I love this Guy!! TRUTH teller.
Nick Cannon is the real MVP! Big props to him for being such a unbelievably awesome, honest, wise, true and inspiring man!
Vlad acting like he can't understand...
He on straight dummy
I knew exactly what Ye meant but I also knew he didnt articulate in the best way #killmonger
DaReoCharmer Killmonger? You realize that’s a fictional character right? Slavery was a real thing, and you hashtag imaginary movie characters? Your ancestors would be so disappointed in you
Vlad is WHITE!! He plays dumb, but he know what the hell Kanye meant. Vlad is a shit starter.
Culture vulture playing dumb
I love that interview! Thanks!!!!
I like his perspective on the Kanye stuff.
Don't let no Nickolodeon fool you. Nick is on another level. Real ass dude.
I didn’t know how much i liked nick Cannon until just now. Didn’t know he was this intelligent.
He said “simple as that” 20 times
I could listen to him talk all day and not get bored
I love these NC interviews. I could listen this depth and intellect for hours.
Nick is so well articulated.
He always has a way of giving his opinion but, at the same time staying in his lane. This man knows the secret to life is minding your business 🤷🏼♀️
He did a Great Job Explaining Kayne’s Madness💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 He Need His Mom😔 RIP
I must say I took so lightly Nick Canon for past few years
Yeezus is not narcissistic, it is translated to "ye iz us" which he said himself.
Nick is a real one he never speaks down on anyone. Need more people like that. .
Nick called him a “young man” and he’s 40 lmao
Women call themselves gals in they 40s plus. Men can do the same
Alright Nick... it's good to hear your perception, and point of view. Spot on.
He corny af on tv but he is actually intelligent lmao
Thank you Nick for taking the time and segment in trying to explain the kanye comment. Weather its true or not its not for me to judge but the fact that your giving your explanation for him goes a long way.!!!
Chipotle is real Taco Bell
