Its amazing how people as smart as Mr. Kaku can look at these constants as a series of accidents.

It’s not when you think about it..
scientists like to believe (and project the façade) that their methodology is unbiased and impartial. Some presumptuously act as if they’re the final authority about the nature / workings and origins of the universe / reality ..
Scientism (science hijacked by naturalism) is extremely prejudiced from ‘the jump’ because of its underlying atheistic assumptions (ie .. that naturalism is all that there is) ..
Because of this .. as a scientist .. you’re no longer free to follow the evidence wherever it leads .. but are instead ‘forced’ to come up with explanations that fit the underlying driving philosophy.. (that naturalism is all that there is) so it doesn’t matter what you find as evidence to the contrary.. extreme fine tuning on steroids being just one of many such ‘oddities’ …
If they then turn around and say “see .. no God / magic man in the sky needed” .. it’s an obvious adventure in pure circular reasoning .. clear for those who can see past the spin to the underlying assumptions.
      Though experiment ..
Let’s say that God IS in fact the cause of the fine tuned the universe ..
Using the biased naturalistic scientism methodology .. you will never come to that conclusion .. you’ll use whatever evidence that you find to confirm naturalism even more.
You’ll be bound to come up with more naturalism as a cause (or risk losing your tenure).. and that’s why brilliant scientists can end up making daft statements like “it’s a series of accidents .. “ or end up disappearing into ‘multiverse land’ …
(I guess this is the part where my detractors don’t think it through and start lobbing ad hominems my way) … 😕

Not according to 2nd Corinthians 4:4. I understand what you're saying, though. Just be grateful you believe and pray for those who do not

Fine Tuned Universe is actually a MIRACLE.
Existence of our Universe is actually the biggest Evidence of a MIRACLE.
people should be thankful to Lord for this great miracle
but instead are People very arrogant and claim Science have all the answers.
but truth is Science does not have all the answers.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:21 Your very eternity depends on you believing this.

I find it interesting that people who refuse to believe in a God they cannot see will believe in the multiverse for which there is absolutely no evidence. BTW who created the multiverse?

Yes. If we are running in the program that the programmer designed, he is outside the program, providing input in the format needed for his design.

I find it obvious that those who desperately scrounged around to grasp at the tiniest straw to keep them from going under are the ones who deludedly imagined a "multi verse," after seeing the fact of a FINELY tuned universe, solely because they run from God due to moral accountability issues. They do not WANT God to exist. It's that plain and that simple.
The heart of man is DESPERATELY wicked.

You say that the physical constants of nature are all pointing to the existence of life on earth, but couldn't you argue that they are the way that they are for the purpose of creating anything else that exists in the universe? Why point to earth as the reason for the constants being the way that they are when there are so many other things that exist? Like for example, couldn't you say, in order for Mars to exist, the physical constants had to be just the right way, etc. etc., therefore the God Mars exists from Ancient Greece, and he created the entire universe just for the planet Mars. Or think of how many black holes exist in the universe, maybe the universe is fine tuned to create black holes? Or maybe there exists some special Rock out there in some galaxy a gazillion light years away that has 7,257,543,245 atoms in it, and there is a God that wanted to create that "special" rock, and that God is the creator of our universe, and made it just for that one rock, and we're just an unimportant side effect?

I think he means it in the context of life, since life is more rare than anything else in the whole observable universe.

@@nekojtamu6065 What we can see of the observable universe is but a fraction. What we can detect anything like life in is an even smaller fraction. Meaning, we have no idea what is out there as far as life goes. Using that ignorance as a means to make a case is rather strange.

Physical constants point to a universe that can form stable atoms molecules stars planets, cells, organisms etc. do you believe that all constants are successively fixed to what they are by chance?
