  • Steve Holland and Andy Johnson putting on a magnificent display flying their Lancasters at the 2024 Woodspring Wings model airshow.
They make it look way too easy. Steve kept a cool head landing his Lancaster with 3 engines

Did not notice the Wellington until it landed, noticed another aircraft flying around but I was concentrating on the Lancasters to be fair, that is a nice one as well.

Fine flying considering that wind! If I ever get the time to build the models I want to build, I think I don't think I would have the bottle to fly at shows - the pressure to fly in strong winds with a model that took you years to build!

I thought they put on a fantastic display in some tricky conditions. I also enjoyed watching the Wellington tagging along being expertly flown by big Kyle Millett who’s looking more like a athlete everyday thanks to his Greggs sponsorship deal.
    Great work to all involved.

Thats a short field, like my clubs, but you are putting way bigger planes in and out then they are ;)

Dambusters Lancaster, no upper mid turret with the bomb motor in the modified bay and the Canadian Lancaster (Obviously), but another tell is the mid upper turret is further forward near the wing trailing edge as they had twin 12.7mm Browning M2's in that turret, heavier guns, turret and ammo had to move forward to help maintain the C of G better. Nice models.
