Having seen both videos for the first time right now ( they BOTH had elephants in them!) I can say that both had a filmed movie quality to them with repetitions of scenes, however the difference that may have pushed it over the edge ( IMO, I dont know how they vote) is Anxiety features the choreographed dance number. That's the only elemental difference I saw.
I read some comments about the flow of manchild and its possible that points of the narrative breakdown were missed , like the guy with the dynamite who eventually drives off the cliff, where as anxiety made the repetition and getting nowhere even more apparent. Both videos are actually similar in theme of doing the same thing over and over, even when you know the outcome.

I work with AI professionally in video production, and it stands out when you see it. There is no practical/safe way to have filmed 80% of this video and to have CGI artists animate as much of what's in here would have made the budget astronomical.
And if they were animated by hand...they'd have better physics.
Don't get me wrong, I'm actually a fan of AI, and this is really good AI....but it's still a ton of AI mixed with live footage.

I love that at the beginning of the video, the tortoise is carrying a seagull (basic bird) on its back when the seagull can literally fly, but at the end of the video the tortoise is now carried by a hawk (strong bird) and no longer carrying around someone that doesn’t need it. iconic metaphor there. 3:38
Hawks predate tortoise. They grab them, fly at high altitude then drop then to break their shell to eat their insides
