- A very short race for Michiel Campagne with his Corvette Grand Sport. The Jaguar E-Type of Roland Zoomers brakes too late and too heavy which causes to blocks all the four wheels. He hits the Grand Sport on the right rear wheel at first and when he slides further he hits the right front wheel. This results in rear suspension damage and a broken steering arm at the front.
You will also see the second NK HTGT race filmed from the yellow Stingray driven by Rob Bergmans.
looked like Michelle Campagne had too much Champagne to drive!
Obviously they do the vintage races a little different than here. Over here you can't race a kit or replica which the Grand Sport was.
god dammit im hearing that engine through my 10" sub, god i love it!
Too bad the Grand Sport got knocked out. With manufacturers licensing out the fabrication of some of their best old cars, I'd kinda like to see a series start up with nothing but licensed replicas. A whole lot cheaper, no history to protect, cars every bit as awesome, and the pilots can whoop the heck out of 'em.
well I know what we hear is the outrageous L-88 427 inch Big block . it sure as hell isn't a small block
It could be a small block. Some of the Grand Sports had small blocks and they sound very similar running the side pipes. Plus, the cars barely weight 2000 lbs., so even with a small block they are going to rip !
