  • Jennifer was in her 60s when she started wind foiling. However, an excruciating pain in her hip kept her from progressing in the sport, until one day at the beach she met Dr. Michael Staebler, an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at University Orthopedics in Rhode Island.
Dr. Staebler told Jennifer she likely had arthritis in her hip. When she had scans done, they showed bone-on-bone. Looking for a permanent solution, Jennifer opted to have hip replacement surgery at Newport Hospital.
After months of recovery and physical therapy, she's was able to return to the water, pain free. Here's her myUOIstory.
