Impact of Energy Communities on Distribution Grids, Tilman Weckesser, Dansk Energi.

In a CITIES demo project, Dansk Energy together with DTU Computes have made a simple analysis of the impact of energy communities on three different grid layouts to estimate the consequences of different setups of energy communities on the distribution grid. At the Green Digitalization conference on November 10, 2020, Tilman Weckesser, Dansk Energi, presented the results.

CITIES - Centre for IT-Intelligent Energy Systems - is a strategic research project funded by Innovation Fund Denmark with a project runtime from 2014 to 2020. The research in CITIES has focused on methodologies and solutions/tools for smart energy systems to facilitate the green transition to a fossil-free energy system by intelligent use of data; ‘green digitalization’. CITIES continues from 2021 as ‘CITIES Centre’ to collect and share knowledge about digitalization, flexibility, and sector coupling.
